About the job
- A basic educational degree, high school diploma, or general education diploma is required.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Production Operator I or 3 years of experience in an industrial environment is required.
- Knowledge of common software programs, including Microsoft Office, is required.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions is required.
- Availability to work shifts is required.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk and climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended, stoop and bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds or up to 100 pounds with assistance is required.
- Prepare raw materials and packaging by checking labels for correct weight, type, and lot or batch number before charging mixers, and operate processes according to production parameters.
- Operate mixers by verifying and loading raw materials according to process instructions and procedures, taking samples, unloading, packing, and documenting process figures and results for traceability and legal requirements.
- Perform all operations in compliance with H.B. Fuller quality and operating procedures.
- Ensure initial testing and product release are completed and that products meet specifications without deviations.
- Ensure finished products have the required visual appearance and standard quality.
- Package final products according to instructions and ensure they meet H.B. Fuller quality standards.
- Prevent finished-product mistakes, inform the Production Manager or Supervisor of label mistakes, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain machinery and work areas in a clean and proper condition.
- Maintain personal training documentation.
- Implement and comply with legal and company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures, and report deviations from safety instructions.
- Carry out other duties requested by the Production Manager or Supervisor.
- Knowledge of chemical mixing and packaging processes.
- Understanding of basic English.
