Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in health care or a related field is required.
  • Ten or more years of experience with demonstrated progressive leadership roles related to health care and compliance are required; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Certification in Health Care Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association is required, or must be completed within the first six months of the role.
Responsibilities
  • Administer and provide oversight of Olympic Medical Center's compliance program.
  • Lead the development and administration of the compliance program and provide oversight and guidance in accordance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the HHS Office of Inspector General, the HHS Department of Justice, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Develop and implement processes, tools, and templates to assist employees, board members, and customers with compliance and ethics information applicable to the organization.
  • Administer compliance training and education, auditing and monitoring, and communication of compliance concepts related to rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct investigations and assist management with remediation of high-risk compliance issues.
  • Complete required reporting and interactions with local, state, and federal governments.
  • Serve as an expert on significant compliance and ethics issues, program development and effectiveness.
  • Foster a compliant work environment to achieve legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Align the compliance program with the organization's business objectives and strategies to promote buy-in and reduce compliance-related risks.
