Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment.
  • Deep knowledge of modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, code versioning, testing frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Technical background with Ruby on Rails a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to break down complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in defining and delivering on an engineering roadmap that balances new features, technical debt, and scalability.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing engineers to reach their full potential.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, and adapt to shifting priorities in a startup environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Ruby on Rail engineers working remotely in locations across the globe.
  • Lead a team of engineers through a significant feature or product launch in collaboration with Product and Design.
  • Help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
  • Provide leadership and direction to engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
