AlixPartners appoints Reshmi Khurana and Takuro Ueji as Co-Heads of Asia. 08 September 2026 Consultancy.asia Global management consulting firm AlixPartners has announced a leadership change in its Asia business, with regional leader Shiv Shivaraman passing the baton to Reshmi Khurana and Takuro Ueji. Shivaraman has led AlixPartners as Head of Asia since 2021, initially in a co-leadership role and since 2024 as the sole regional leader. During this time, he has played an important role in expanding the firm's presence across Asia and developing its capabilities in key growth sectors throughout the region. Today, AlixPartners serves the region through offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. The firm was last year recognized among Asia's leading management consulting firms. Under the new leadership structure, Shivaraman will step down as Head of Asia and assume the newly created role of Vice Chair for Asia Pacific (which also includes a recently launched operation in Australia). He will be succeeded by Khurana and Ueji, who are Partners & Managing Directors in Singapore and Japan, respectively. In their new roles, Khurana and Ueji will lead AlixPartners' growth strategy across the region and oversee day-to-day operations alongside the Asia leadership team. They will also oversee client management and services, as well as talent development. "Together with our exceptional teams across the region, I look forward to helping clients turn rapid industry transformation into sustainable competitive advantage and achieve meaningful and measurable success," said Khurana. Ueji added: "Since our founding, we have built skills and assembled the teams to help clients dramatically 'grow' enterprise value, 'protect' it when the unexpected occurs, and 'restore' it when it has been impaired. As the pressure on management teams to transform intensifies, we are more committed than ever to enhancing our clients' enterprise value and contributing to the Japanese and Asian economies." In his role as Vice Chair, Shivaraman will focus on accelerating AlixPartners' strategic priorities across the region, including expanding the firm's geographic footprint, deepening sector expertise, and supporting strategic investment opportunities such as M&A. "Organizations across Asia Pacific stand at an inflection point. The pace of change, driven by technology, geopolitical shifts, and evolving supply chains, is creating both critical challenges and genuine opportunities," said Shivaraman. "AlixPartners is uniquely positioned to help clients navigate these and create lasting value. I look forward to continuing to support our clients and colleagues as we enter the next phase of growth across the region." In North America, where AlixPartners is headquartered, the firm this year closed two acquisitions.

"As we looked to our next phase of growth, AlixPartners stood out as the clear choice. The firm's leadership has a deep understanding of our business, our technology, and the opportunities ahead. Market Financial Solutions' administrators sue Barclays over held funds.

Market Financial Solutions' administrators sue Barclays over held funds. August 5, 2026 AlixPartners, the administrator of collapsed bridging lender Market Financial Solutions, has filed a legal claim against Barclays over £160m worth of accounts. AlixPartners filed a claim to the High Court against Barclays on Friday, stating the bank was holding cash it believed was owed to the bridging lender. Barclays is understood to be defending the claim. In its Q1 results, Barclays reported an impairment charge of £823m, primarily due to a £228m charge in the investment bank linked to Market Financial Solutions' failure. AlixPartners was appointed to manage Market Financial Solutions' accounts earlier this year, when the lender's administration was announced surrounded by allegations of financial irregularities. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) subsequently announced it had opened an investigation into the bridging lender to determine whether there was any serious misconduct. The lender's founder, Paresh Raja, has denied the allegations.
