BrainEffect designs nutritional supplements and functional foods to support mental and physical performance. Its products use science-backed formulations with natural ingredients across vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, collagen, and proteins, with core items like FOCUS, SLEEP, and DAILY GUT that target sleep, gut health, focus, energy, and recovery. The brand sells online and through a broad retail network of 2,500+ stores including dm, Budni, and Amazon, and remains independently led by founder Fabian Foelsch after Schwabe Group’s investment and a two-thirds stake, combining Schwabe’s research capabilities with BrainEffect’s digital reach. The goal is to expand internationally with reliable, natural products that help people optimize mental performance and well-being in daily life and sports.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • dm still lists multiple BrainEffect SKUs in March 2026, proving broad retail access.
  • BrainEffect launched Recharge 3-in-1 Drink in May 2026, showing product innovation continues.
  • Schwabe’s 2026 majority stake funds international expansion and lowers capital constraints.

What critics are saying

  • Lebensmittelklarheit flagged unproven gut-health claims in April 2026, risking regulator scrutiny.
  • Schwabe now controls two-thirds, so founder autonomy shrinks during the medium-term takeover.
  • Amazon and dm commoditize supplements fast; BrainEffect’s premium pricing faces relentless margin pressure.

What makes Brain Effect unique

  • Schwabe’s 2025 majority ownership gives BrainEffect pharmaceutical-grade quality and distribution leverage.
  • BrainEffect sells sleep, focus, and gut products through DTC and dm.
  • The brand still operates independently under founder Fabian Foelsch, preserving entrepreneurial speed.
