About the job

Requirements
  • Solid experience in a Financial Services Sales or Relationship Management role, with a demonstrable track record of originating and closing complex payments, cash management, or treasury mandates with Financial Institution clients.
  • Through, practical knowledge of KYC, AML, sanctions, and financial crime compliance frameworks as applied to Financial Institution clients, including direct working familiarity with AMLD 4/5/6, FATF Recommendations, Wolfsberg Group principles, OFAC and EU sanctions regimes, and CRS/FATCA obligations, demonstrated through hands-on management across a live portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the compliance lifecycle independently: tracking deadlines, coordinating documentation, resolving queries, and engaging Compliance and Legal partners to maintain full portfolio compliance without escalation.
  • Solid understanding of the Financial Institutions landscape in Luxembourg and/or the Benelux, including regulatory environment, market infrastructure, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and deepen relationships at C-suite and senior treasury level within banks, broker-dealers, or public sector entities. Strong commercial judgement with experience pricing and structuring bespoke solutions for sophisticated institutional counterparties.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills, with the gravitas to represent J.P. Morgan at the most senior client forums. Experience working across cultures and geographies.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and drive outcomes with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and execute against the commercial strategy for a portfolio of Financial Institution clients (excluding Asset Managers), supporting delivery of annual revenue targets at or above target margins.
  • Support new business development by identifying and qualifying prospects, contributing to structured calling plans, and executing solution-led proposals. Maintain an organised pipeline with clear documentation of status, assumptions, and probability-weighted forecasts.
  • Support pricing of new mandates and renewals, contributing to portfolio profitability analysis and balancing commercial opportunity with competitive positioning and long-term relationship value.
  • Serve as a key coverage contact for client treasury and senior finance teams, representing J.P. Morgan Payments with credibility and professionalism; support senior engagement at C-suite level as part of the broader coverage team.
  • Work with Global Payments Executives, Global Corporate Bank coverage, and adjacent business lines including Markets, Securities Services, and Lending to execute cross-sell opportunities, contribute to wallet share growth, and support the firmwide relationship strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, financial analyses, and market reviews that support J.P. Morgan's positioning as a payments partner.
  • Execute the compliance lifecycle across the portfolio: coordinate KYC renewals to deadline, support Compliance deep dives, assist with AML and sanctions screening, and serve as a point of contact for compliance queries. Apply working knowledge of AMLD 4/5/6, EU Sanctions Regulations, OFAC requirements, FATF Recommendations, and Wolfsberg Group standards for correspondent banking and Financial Institution due diligence.
  • Track compliance renewal timelines, ensure documentation accuracy, resolve queries promptly, monitor sanctions developments including the EU consolidated list, UN sanctions, and OFAC SDN list, and partner with Compliance, Legal, and Operations to prevent lapses.
  • Support end-to-end client onboarding to ensure activity meets regulatory and internal policy standards, with attention to multi-jurisdictional and multi-entity complexity, CRS/FATCA tax transparency obligations, and ABC due diligence requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain client account plans, briefing materials, and portfolio management reporting for regional leadership reviews. Identify and escalate risk, legal, compliance, and operational issues proactively and promptly.
  • Contribute to junior team members' development by sharing compliance awareness, regulatory knowledge, and commercial best practice. Support the FIG Payments franchise's internal visibility by helping partners understand the segment and its strategic opportunity.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or professional qualification such as ICA Diploma in AML or ACAMS certification is a differentiator.
  • Direct experience covering banks, broker-dealers, clearinghouses, central securities depositories, or public sector financial entities.
  • Familiarity with the Luxembourg corporate banking and financial infrastructure landscape.
  • Working knowledge of payments market regulation, including PSD2, instant payments, and SEPA evolution, and its implications for Financial Institution clients.
  • Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements across complex entity structures typical of Financial Institutions in Luxembourg, including correspondent banking due diligence, nested relationships, and downstream clearing arrangements.
  • Fluency in English is required; French, Dutch, or German is a strong advantage given the Benelux client base.

About the company

JPMorgan Chase runs the largest bank in the United States, which serves households and small businesses as Chase and large companies, governments, and investors as J.P. Morgan. During the 2008 financial crisis it bought the failing investment bank Bear Stearns and lender Washington Mutual, and in 2023 it took over First Republic Bank after regulators seized it. Chase takes deposits and earns interest on credit cards, mortgages, and car loans, while the investment side earns fees for advising on mergers, raising money for companies, trading stocks and bonds, and managing wealth. Formed in a 2000 merger, JPMorgan Chase traces its roots to 1799 and is based in New York City.

JP Morgan sees emerging market weight loss drug sales hitting $22B by 2035

JP Morgan expects weight-loss drug sales in China, India, and Brazil to reach $22 billion by 2035, up from $6.6 billion today. Usage remains low: below 0.1% in China and under 0.2% in India, against 4% to 5% in the US. Cost has been the main barrier. JP Morgan says patent cliffs, generic launches, and policy-driven price cuts are making the drugs more affordable. It expects China to pass Brazil by 2027 and reach $13.7 billion by 2035, versus $8 billion for Brazil. India is the smallest market, held back by hesitancy around injections. Eli Lilly, which said it holds about 55% of the international incretin market, stands to gain. Its China revenue grew 93% in constant currency, and it raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $85 billion to $87 billion.

Wall Street fears AI agents will drain bank deposits, but analysts say risk is overdone

Wall Street fears AI agents could pull deposits from banks, but leading analysts and executives say the risk is overblown. Bank stocks have fallen since Meta Platforms launched its Muse personal agent on September 8: Bank of America is down 18%, Charles Schwab 14%, Wells Fargo 6%, and JPMorgan Chase 5%. Agents can compare yields and recommend options, which could erode the inertia that keeps customers' money in place. If deposits move, banks may have to pay more interest, squeezing profits. Analysts Mike Mayo and Gerard Cassidy say trust matters more to customers than slightly higher returns. A Deloitte survey found 72% of bank customers hesitate to share financial data with generative AI tools. Third-quarter earnings showed no clear shift in deposits.

New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC) has closed a $15 million New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) financing to support the expansion of ResinTech's manufacturing and warehouse facility in Camden, New Jersey. Watsco signs $750M five-year unsecured credit facility, extending existing revolver

Watsco, the largest distributor in the North American HVAC market, has signed a $750 million unsecured senior revolving credit facility. Bank of America led the deal, joined by JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank and five other banks. The five-year facility amends and extends Watsco's existing credit line. An initial draw repaid $69.7 million owed under the prior facility. Further borrowings will fund working capital, acquisitions, dividends and other general purposes. The terms include more borrowing capacity, covenant flexibility and better fit with the seasonal nature of Watsco's working capital needs. "A committed source of low-cost debt is an important building block of our growth strategy," said Barry S. Logan, executive vice president.
