Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in consumer packaged goods brand management, product development, or category management, including direct ownership of a product line's cost, margin, and development calendar.
  • Direct experience managing contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers, including negotiating terms and resolving supplier performance issues.
  • Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to read a cost of goods sold build, understand gross-margin impact, and assess which cost problems are worth solving.
  • Experience creating a specification standard, launch process, or quality workflow.
  • Ability to organize unfamiliar technical problems, coordinate the appropriate stakeholders, and determine root causes.
  • Ability to work as a generalist without internal support across packaging specifications, vendor negotiations, laboratory results, and freight bookings.
  • Strong written communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Own the development calendar for Grove Co., Grab Green, and 8Greens, including new items, seasonal and limited-edition programs, line extensions, and format changes from brief through first production run.
  • Own packaging decisions, including substrate and format selection, die lines, master-case specifications, formula-to-package compatibility, and cost per unit.
  • Build and maintain specification and briefing standards for owned-brand programs.
  • Direct external design and artwork partners and specialist contractors, and manage revision cycles against launch dates.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for contract manufacturers, co-packers, packaging suppliers, and component suppliers.
  • Negotiate cost, payment terms, minimum order quantities, and lead times; run requests for proposals and dual-source evaluations.
  • Manage supply and quality agreements with Legal and Finance, and own vendor onboarding through NetSuite and Tropic.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and resolutions for field product failures, coordinating manufacturers, third-party laboratories, fulfillment centers, and Customer Happiness.
  • Analyze complaint data, size exposure, and recommend whether to fix, re-specify, or discontinue a product.
  • Define triage thresholds, escalation paths, and documentation processes for recurring defects.
  • Deliver owned-brand programs to retail and marketplace partners according to their calendars, including QVC TSV builds, Amazon assortment transitions, retailer-specific packaging and pack sizes, inbound freight, and delivery-window coordination.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in home care, personal care, supplements, or another regulated or claims-sensitive category.
  • Experience launching products into retail or marketplace channels such as Amazon, mass retail, or televised retail, including their packaging and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to sustainability-driven or ingredient-standard-driven product work.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite and the ability to build analyses independently.

Grove Collaborative posts Q1 revenue of $36.2M, returns to positive EBITDA after platform issues

Grove Collaborative reported first-quarter net revenue of $36.2 million, down 16.8% year-over-year, but posted its second consecutive quarter of positive adjusted EBITDA at $0.3 million. CEO Jeff Yurcisin said the e-commerce platform disruptions that affected 2025 performance are "largely behind us" and expects the first quarter to mark the revenue trough for the year. The revenue decline stemmed from fewer orders and a smaller active customer base, which fell 18.5% to 553,000. However, gross margin expanded 180 basis points to 54.8%, driven by the Grove Green Rewards loyalty programme, which enabled the company to shift from broad discounting to rewards-based incentives. Management said repeat order rates amongst recent customer cohorts have recovered to pre-migration levels, signalling improving customer experience.

Grove Collaborative posts $42.4M Q4 revenue, returns to positive EBITDA after e-commerce migration woes

Grove Collaborative reported Q4 revenue of $42.4 million, down 14.3% year-over-year, but returned to positive adjusted EBITDA of $1.6 million, meeting its revised 2025 guidance.
