About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 10+ years of enterprise integration experience, including significant time in lead or architect roles.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-grade integration solutions using Workato, including advanced recipes, callable recipes, event streams, Workato SDK, task optimization, and governance.
  • Experience operating Workato in production at scale, including environment strategy, deployment automation, observability and monitoring, logging, and debugging in multi-system landscapes.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or equivalents, including topics, producers and consumers, message durability, failure handling, and retry strategies.
  • Proficiency with Workato connectors, including Salesforce, NetSuite, HRIS, and Google Workspace, and scripting skills such as Python or Ruby for advanced transformations and custom logic.
  • Experience defining and enforcing integration standards, patterns, and non-functional requirements across teams, including performance, scalability, security, and operability benchmarks.
  • Analysis and system-design capabilities covering system interactions, data flows, scalability, performance, and translating complex business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshooting skills across diverse technologies and environments, including isolating issues and driving cross-functional teams toward resolution.
  • Ability to mentor and upskill teammates, lead design and architecture reviews, and influence stakeholders through clear communication and well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment and openness to occasional travel for key workshops or stakeholder engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of Workato-based integrations and APIs across GTM systems, including Salesforce, NetSuite, HRIS, and Google Workspace, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Define and evolve integration standards, patterns, and best practices, including canonical integration patterns, error-handling strategies, observability, and operational runbooks.
  • Design and review complex event-driven integration workflows using Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms, including topics, producers and consumers, durability, and retry mechanisms.
  • Drive API-first and MCP-native design for GTM integrations using RESTful APIs, MCP-based interfaces, and AI-driven services; implement authentication and authorization, including OAuth2 and JWT, versioning, lifecycle management, and integration with API management platforms such as Apigee or similar.
  • Translate ambiguous cross-functional business requirements into technical designs, assess solution approaches, and recommend options for scalability, extensibility, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration engineers on Workato concepts, API design, and integration patterns, and conduct design and code reviews.
  • Partner with GTM, Finance, Data, and Security teams to align integration designs with data governance, compliance, and audit requirements, including CI/CD practices and environment strategies for Workato and associated services.
  • Establish and enforce non-functional requirements for integrations, including performance, resiliency, observability, and security, and ensure they are met through design, testing, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning multiple systems and environments through root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions with system owners.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts to validate technology or pattern choices, including Workato features, API capabilities, and event-streaming approaches, and guide adoption decisions.
  • Participate in and help mature the integration on-call and support rotation, ensuring effective incident response, escalation, and communication practices.
  • Model company culture principles while driving technical excellence and operational rigor within GTMTech.
  • Own at least one critical integration domain, stabilize existing integrations, and address high-priority issues or technical debt.
  • Design and deliver scalable integration solutions for GTMTech initiatives, improving reliability, performance, and observability.
  • Establish or refine integration standards and non-functional requirement guidelines, including SLAs/SLOs, error-handling patterns, and monitoring dashboards, and gain adoption across the team.
  • Lead design reviews and architecture discussions for new integration initiatives, align work with event-driven and API-first strategies, and influence technology choices.
  • Identify integration risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps, and lead cross-functional efforts to address them with durable solutions.
  • Improve GTMTech integration maturity by increasing uptime, reducing incidents, shortening time-to-recovery, and increasing development velocity through better tooling, patterns, and governance.
  • Mentor engineers, shape interview and hiring standards for integration roles, and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive team culture.

About the Company

MongoDB

Builds document databases for software teams

MongoDB builds databases for software teams that need to store and retrieve application data without fitting every record into fixed rows and columns. Its flagship Atlas service runs the database in the cloud and combines it with tools for search, real-time analytics and AI retrieval. Data is stored as flexible documents, letting developers change an application's structure while keeping related information together. Customers pay for cloud resources and usage, or buy Enterprise Advanced subscriptions to run the software themselves with monitoring, management tools and technical support. MongoDB was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in New York City.
