Requirements
  • A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or a related human services field from an accredited university.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • The ability to be in good physical health and emotionally stable, move throughout the facility, actively participate in youth activities, and transport youth or staff.
  • Freedom from communicable diseases as defined by the state.
  • A valid state driver's license and the ability to meet state criminal background check requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Document clinical progress through weekly notes, treatment plans, and aftercare plans.
  • Develop behavioral health discharge and aftercare plans.
  • Assess family dynamics and create intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support compliance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in daily group routines and activities with youth and counselors.
  • Model professional behavior and maintain high standards for youth engagement.
  • Attend required training and professional development sessions.
  • Report incidents and concerns according to agency policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse, preferred but not required with an appropriate degree.
  • Experience with group therapy techniques.
  • Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations.
