  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or experience as a licensed clinical or certified IT professional; an additional four years of experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree or licensed clinical/certified IT professional experience.
  • Five years of experience in IT, clinical workflow, or business workflow.
  • Experience supporting large-scale clinical, ancillary, or business environments.
  • Certification appropriate to the assigned application, such as Epic; Epic certification must be maintained within six months.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English sufficient to perform essential job functions, particularly activities affecting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system problems and engineer solutions with IT customers and vendors.
  • Technical skills to support multiple applications and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and ability to apply them to large-scale system implementation.
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary clinical or business information systems.
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support and configuration for assigned applications.
  • Assist, train, and support customers and junior analysts with system operation and administration.
  • Train and mentor more junior analysts.
  • Work with customers across the organization to improve understanding and operational use of available tools.
  • Proactively manage and troubleshoot issues within related IT teams and manage change.
  • Provide high-level application administration and ensure quality application availability.
  • Make recommendations regarding budget projections and project management.
  • Act as a liaison between work teams and departments.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings and deliver informative, organized presentations.
  • Facilitate working-group sessions to identify and drive requirements for improved business processes.
  • Set customer expectations, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions on time.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliverables through meetings, phone calls, presentations, and written reports.
  • Oversee and monitor multiple large-scale projects across multiple functional departments.
  • Establish project plans and objectives to achieve goals within defined parameters.
  • Implement and support large, complex applications through systems analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation.
  • Communicate project and implementation issues, resolution plans, and status updates to stakeholders, customers, and management.
  • Create custom solutions and advanced configuration options for operational or workflow issues.
  • Coordinate and provide problem resolution, technical analysis, cost and resource estimates, work plans, workflow documentation, and progress reports for assigned projects.
  • Apply project-management methodology standards to complete assigned projects within budget guidelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies for growth and long-term planning.
  • Lead or facilitate IT and business initiatives across IT.
  • Remain available for on-call duties during emergencies.
  • Travel within and outside the Houston metropolitan area as required.
