Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years or more of experience developing and writing responses to Government Requests for Proposals.
  • Ability to deliver client-ready materials under strict deadlines.
  • Strong experience creating graphics such as tables and organizational charts, with the ability to produce high-quality products rapidly and accurately in support of individual requirements.
  • Strong critical-thinking, requirements-analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts, execute strong writing, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously while self-managing productivity and prioritization of effort.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word, Google Docs, and Adobe Professional.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily reviews of opportunities to support pipeline development using sources such as Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts, Sources Sought notices, Market Research, Requests for Information, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Proposals.
  • Perform detailed analyses of solicitation documents, including Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotes, and Statements of Work, and work with the team to build proposal outlines and compliance matrices and communicate the results.
  • Ensure proposals are properly scoped, evaluate assumptions, identify risks, and ensure responses meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and business subject matter experts, authors, capture managers, client program managers, business development colleagues, senior leadership, and other personnel to facilitate efficient proposal development.
  • Create compliant and compelling original proposal content for technical responses to complex, large, and high-profile solicitations.
  • Independently write Technical, Management, Staffing, and Past Performance sections to support proposal responses.
  • Manage multiple revisions, edit and re-edit proposal sections, and ensure proposals maintain a consistent tone and voice.
  • Assist the Leadership Team in reviewing proposal artifacts for compliance and responsiveness against solicitation requirements.
  • Support professional proposal formatting and design and develop high-impact graphic representations.
  • Support proposal coordination and management, development, and revision from cradle-to-grave proposal development and submission.
  • Apply knowledge of the proposal development process and working knowledge of teaming strategies with large and small businesses.
Desired Qualifications
  • Clearly defined experience in proposal development that supported growth within a small- or mid-sized business.
  • Experience with the Shipley proposal development process or other structured proposal development methodologies.
