Dairy Queen is finally arriving in Hong Kong opening four stores in Q4.

Dairy Queen is finally arriving in Hong Kong opening four stores in Q4. News broke in November 2025 of Dairy Queen's debut in Hong Kong this year. This November, Dairy Queen is (finally) arriving with four stores in Q4. Dairy Queen is carving out a space at "a prime Causeway Bay location" this November for the brand's first store in the city, followed by an opening at The Angle mall in Kwun Tong the same month, where hoarding has already gone up teasing the opening. Dairy Queen can confirm a total of four stores will open this quarter covering Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories, and outlying islands. A new store concept catered exclusively to the Hong Kong market is coming with cones, milkshakes, parfaits, and ice cream cakes on offer. As Foodie reported last year, Dairy Queen is planning to open 60 locations in Hong Kong, with stores planned for Macau and Taiwan in the coming years. Across town in SoHo, Foodie Group exclusively reported on Emack & Bolio's homecoming with the opening of their store opening this month. This all makes for big news for ice cream lovers.

Dairy Queen rolls out its 2026 fall menu with new Blizzard flavors and a seasonal coffee cooler.

Dairy Queen rolls out its 2026 fall menu with new Blizzard flavors and a seasonal coffee cooler. September 3, 2026 Dairy Queen launched its 2026 Fall Treat Collection on August 31, joining Starbucks and Dunkin' in the annual race to sell Americans on pumpkin, caramel, and everything autumn, a competition that starts earlier every year. The chain's limited-time lineup features three items: two brand-new offerings and one returning fan favorite. The Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat and the Toasted Marshmallow Mocha DQ Coffee Cooler are the newcomers, while the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat makes its way back for another run, USA TODAY reported. Dairy Queen published a news release on its website announcing the collection. No prices were listed, and the chain did not say how long the items would stick around, only that they are available "for a limited time." Two new items anchor the fall lineup. The Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat blends brown sugar cookie dough pieces, chocolate chip cookie dough, and caramel topping into Dairy Queen's signature soft serve. The Toasted Marshmallow Mocha DQ Coffee Cooler combines cold-brew coffee with toasted marshmallow and mocha flavors, a play for the iced-coffee crowd that has fueled growth at rival chains. Rounding out the trio is the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat, a returning seasonal item that mixes pumpkin pie pieces, whipped topping, and nutmeg into the standard Blizzard base. Dairy Queen did not specify whether the fall menu is available at every location nationwide or only at participating restaurants. Dunkin' and Starbucks beat DQ to the punch by nearly two weeks. Dairy Queen is the last of the three big chains to drop its fall flavors this year. Dunkin' rolled out its seasonal drinks on August 19. Starbucks followed on August 25. Dairy Queen's August 31 launch puts it a full twelve days behind Dunkin', a gap that underlines how aggressively fast-food and coffee brands now push autumn marketing deep into summer. The trend is worth watching for anyone who cares about honest marketing. August is still summer by the calendar, yet major chains treat it as pumpkin-spice season because the sales justify it. Consumers vote with their wallets, and the wallets keep saying yes. If you want a Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard before it disappears, the clock is ticking, Dairy Queen just has not said when it stops.

Pumpkin Spice fatigue is real - these flavors are stealing the spotlight this fall.

Pumpkin Spice fatigue is real - these flavors are stealing the spotlight this fall. Pecan orders are up 28% year over year, and chains from Dunkin' to Dairy Queen are catering to Pumpkin Spice burnout. Every fall, it's pumpkin spice this, pumpkin spice that. Starbucks first introduced its Pumpkin Spice Latte in September back in 2003, and the release date has crept up nearly every year since, landing as early as mid-August. But the data is showing pumpkin spice may finally be turning into a pumpkin, and franchises are right there with the trend. "Pumpkin spice lattes have long since graduated from trend status... but our data shows signs that it may be reaching its peak," says Cristen Milliner, consumer trends expert at DoorDash. Pecan orders jumped 28% year over year, and chains are stacking their fall menus with banana, tiramisu, apple and marshmallow flavors instead of leaning on the usual favorite, according to The Takeout. Starbucks dropped its fall menu Aug. 25 with three pecan drinks alongside a new Iced Banana Bread Latte and a chai-cider hybrid called the Chaider. Dunkin' went all in on tiramisu, launching four new drinks including a Tiramisu Cloud Latte topped with marshmallow cold foam. McDonald's skipped pumpkin entirely this year, building its McCafe menu around a Caramel Apple Pie Latte instead. Chick-fil-A leaned into campfire nostalgia with a S'mores Frosted Coffee, while Wendy's took a direct jab at pumpkin spice in its own press release, calling its new Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion the pick "for those craving a sweet taste of fall beyond pumpkin spice." Dairy Queen, which has run its Pumpkin Pie Blizzard since 1991, is adding a Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard to the mix this year too. "We're seeing what I call comfort rushing, where people reach for fall staples earlier than ever as a way to ease the end-of-summer slump," Milliner added. Entrepreneur Staff

Dairy Queen drops fall treats that skip the latte trend.

Dairy Queen drops fall treats that skip the latte trend. Sed ut perspiciatis unde. No pumpkin spice here - just bold new Blizzard flavors and a cozy coffee cooler built for the season. A fall lineup with no pumpkin spice latte in sight. Every coffee shop and quick-service chain seems to be racing toward the same pumpkin spice latte this season, but Dairy Queen is taking a different route. The chain rolled out its 2026 Fall Treat Collection on Monday, Aug. 31, and while pumpkin does make an appearance, the classic PSL is nowhere on the menu. Instead, DQ is leaning into its signature soft-serve identity with two brand-new treats and one returning favorite, giving fans flavors that feel distinctly on-brand rather than chasing a trend everyone else already owns. What's new in the Blizzard lineup. The star of the new lineup is the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat, which folds brown sugar cookie dough pieces and blended brown sugar into DQ's soft serve for a cozy, dessert-forward bite that leans more autumn bakery than basic pumpkin. Joining it is the return of the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat, a fan favorite that blends actual pumpkin pie into the soft serve and finishes it off with whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg. It's the closest thing to a traditional fall flavor on the menu, but even this one skips the coffeehouse cliché. Here's the full treat lineup: * Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat (new) - Brown sugar cookie dough pieces and blended brown sugar mixed into soft serve * Toasted Marshmallow Mocha DQ Coffee Cooler (new) - Cold-brew coffee blended with soft serve, poured into a cocoa fudge-lined cup and topped with whipped cream and more fudge * Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat (returning) - Pumpkin pie blended into soft serve, topped with whipped cream and nutmeg A cozy Coffee Cooler joins the mix. For fans who want their fall fix in coffee form, Dairy Queen introduced the Toasted Marshmallow Mocha DQ Coffee Cooler. The drink combines cold-brew coffee blended with soft serve, then gets poured into a cup lined with cocoa fudge before being finished with whipped cream and an extra drizzle of fudge on top. It's less a latte substitute and more a dessert-drink hybrid, marshmallow-toasty and rich enough to double as a treat. How long will these fall treats stick around? Dairy Queen hasn't announced an exact end date for the collection, but the company confirmed the lineup officially launched Aug. 31 and will only be available for a limited time. As with most seasonal drops, fans hoping to try all three items are better off acting sooner rather than later before the menu shifts again. The bigger fall flavor race. Dairy Queen's rollout lands in the middle of a crowded seasonal season. Starbucks brought back its fall drinks on Aug. 25, and Dunkin' launched its own seasonal menu even earlier, on Aug. 19. Against that backdrop, DQ's decision to skip the pumpkin spice latte entirely feels intentional - a way to stand out in a category where nearly every competitor is leaning on the same flavor. Whether that bet pays off will likely come down to how fans respond to the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat and the Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Cooler in the coming weeks. But for now, Dairy Queen is proving that fall flavor doesn't have to mean pumpkin spice at all.
