Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Leeward finished 525 MW in Oklahoma in July 2026, converting backlog into revenue.
  • Fitch affirmed BB- in July 2026, signaling stable access to project debt.
  • Harvey Solar’s 350 MW acquisition expands Ohio optionality and deepens LRE’s national pipeline.

What critics are saying

  • Illinois Bureau wind was delayed in June 2026, showing federal permitting can freeze LRE projects.
  • Harvey Solar stays pre-construction until 2028, exposing Ohio returns to permitting and interconnection slippage.
  • If Google redirects future Oklahoma PPAs, LRE loses its clearest financing engine and growth narrative.

What makes Leeward Renewable Energy unique

  • Google-backed Oklahoma portfolio proves LRE can finance and execute 725 MW at scale.
  • Sierra Pinta’s 112.5 MW Arizona BESS gives LRE credible storage depth beyond pure solar.
  • Leeward’s 31-project, 3,952 MW contracted fleet supports long-duration cash flow and lender confidence.
