Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of installing lighting equipment in temporary indoor and outdoor venues.
  • Previous experience with controlled lighting systems, moving heads, power distribution, and mobile staging.
  • Proven expertise as a Lighting Technician in live event production across various events.
  • Proven expertise as an Entertainment Electrician in live event production across various events and installations.
  • Familiarity with Chamsys consoles, network lighting systems, and portable low-voltage power.
  • Ability to perform on-site lighting rigging and identify compromised rigging hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring.
  • Ability to read and understand lighting plots and power plans.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve technical issues in real time.
  • Ability to lead and direct technicians and stagehands, including union and house crew, across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional understanding of the artistic process and ability to work diplomatically with artists, performers, designers, clients, and peers.
  • Ability to operate a company-owned box truck, pickup truck, or cargo van.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain Department of Transportation medical clearance.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in warehouse settings and use a computer for inventory and event preparation.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work comfortably on ladders and at heights.
  • Ability to independently travel to off-site locations, potentially on short notice.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor venues with inclement weather and varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Ability to read, see, hear, and speak English.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of lighting and portable power.
  • Prepare equipment in the warehouse and shop as needed and conduct quality-control checks upon return.
  • Direct equipment implementation during transportation, load-in, shows, and load-out.
  • Provide on-site technical expertise and oversight to program and operate consoles.
  • Ensure equipment and practices meet industry safety and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance, repair, and inventory of lighting and portable power equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and peers regarding event and technical needs.
  • Act as a site lead when necessary.
  • Assist other company departments as work demands require.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Stageline mobile staging.
  • Knowledge of FLEX Inventory software.
  • Knowledge of Lasso.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • CDL Class A, or willingness to acquire one.
