Requirements
  • At least five years of quality assurance and quality control experience in the beauty or personal care industry, specifically with color cosmetics and skincare or similar consumer products.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic products, manufacturing processes, and documentation, including the ability to analyze them.
  • Proficiency with quality management system software and familiarity with cosmetic testing methods such as microbiological, stability, and compatibility testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future sponsorship for an immigration-related work benefit.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system tailored to a direct-to-consumer beauty brand.
  • Establish and document standard operating procedures for product development, manufacturing, and testing processes.
  • Conduct audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards, good manufacturing practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with research and development and product development teams to integrate quality protocols early in the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee testing of bulk formulations and finished products to ensure consistency, safety, and efficacy.
  • Manage third-party laboratories and testing facilities for microbiological, stability, and compatibility testing.
  • Create and implement incoming inspection protocols for packaging, raw materials, and finished goods.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including product non-conformance, consumer complaints, and manufacturing deviations.
  • Stay current with global cosmetic regulations, including Food and Drug Administration and European Union requirements, and ensure products meet applicable safety and labeling standards.
  • Support documentation and regulatory submissions, including Safety Data Sheets and Product Information Files.
  • Train and mentor cross-functional teams on quality standards and best practices.
  • Lead root cause analyses and corrective and preventive action initiatives.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to contract manufacturers to physically audit line trials and facilities.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to warehouses to conduct acceptance quality limits checks on incoming product shipments.
  • Occasionally travel to physically audit inventory and visit contract manufacturers to inspect product quality.

It's a night to feel seen, celebrated, and confident, and every student deserves that experience, regardless of their circumstances. On April 25, 2026, Thrive Causemetics Inc. had the honor of helping make that dream a reality. Thrive Causemetics Inc. teamed up with its longtime Giving Partner, Positive Results Center (PRC), at their annual Prom Dress and Tux Gift-Away in Los Angeles to help over 800 students step into their prom night feeling like their most confident selves. And it's because of you that Thrive Causemetics Inc. get to be part of moments like this one. A day of prom magic. The energy was electric from the moment the doors opened. Students and their families arrived to find racks of gowns in every size (0-30), tuxedos, suits, shoes, and accessories, all free of charge. Over the course of the day, 800 students had the opportunity to find the perfect outfit, try on shoes, and leave feeling prom-ready and confident. Its volunteers helped with every aspect of prom day, from styling and personal shopping to check-in support and makeup application.
