Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
  • At least 18 years of experience.
  • Experience with technical program management, systems engineering, and government acquisitions of space systems within the Space Control mission area.
  • Experience with modern software development processes, including containerization, orchestration, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience integrating key ground segment systems, including cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service baselines and antennas.
  • Experience with Zero Trust cybersecurity policies and their implementation on software and hardware systems.
  • Experience with software systems engineering, design, and architecture development.
  • Experience with Agile software development techniques and implementation and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with an in-scope SSBI/T5 background investigation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.
  • Willingness to consent to a polygraph.
Responsibilities
  • Support the United States Space Force in developing, deploying, and sustaining a national security space system within Space Systems Command directorates.
  • Support systems architecting and engineering activities, including system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessments.
  • Support the customer team in executing and managing acquisition strategies, integration, and sustainment of cloud-based software systems with mission partner systems.
  • Develop, assess, and manage ground segment technical and interface requirements.
  • Manage interface negotiations with external stakeholders and oversee requirements and interface verification.
  • Oversee, assess, and manage the software product backlog to meet baseline and emerging requirements.
  • Develop recommendations to prioritize development, augment solutions, and improve developer implementations.
  • Convert product requirements into total systems solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Support development of systems engineering artifacts, including concepts of operations, requirements definitions, features, themes, epics, system testing, algorithm document reviews, and interfaces to other application development efforts.
  • Support development and refinement of acquisition strategies, identify program execution issues, and provide recommendations.
