About the job
- A Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field to noise and vibration.
- At least 7 years of engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in the sound and vibration industry.
- Strong system and application knowledge of test and measurement.
- An established customer relationship and network.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Korean.
- Understand customer needs and requirements to support sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer and system integrator training, and resolving application problems for HBK products.
- Use product strengths, features, and differentiators to provide hardware and software support for products.
- Provide system integrator companies with technical knowledge for system integration.
- Provide pre-sales support for company products and systems by resolving or coordinating resolution of product problems and issues, including documentation, notification, and escalation.
- Help customers understand and improve product operations and applications.
- Contribute to developing new applications and relay the status of customer technical issues to Product Line and Marketing.
- Act as the customer-facing test measurement expert in the engineering group.
- Qualify sales opportunities for pre-sales.
- Visit customer sites about 30% of the time.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the product roadmap supports current and prospective customers.
- Work with Sales to develop sales strategies.
- Work with application engineers to ensure post-sales success.
- Present at online and in-person conferences.
- Contribute to and support HBK’s growth strategy in the test measurement system.
- A proven record of growing an engineering or technology portfolio.
- Aptitude for determining customer needs and demonstrating the value of high-end engineering and technology solutions.
- Experience with frequency response function and modal analysis.
- Experience with accelerometers, microphones, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with source path contribution analysis.
- Sound power and sound quality experience.
- Application Engineer experience.

The next generation in sound and vibration data acquisition. 18/03/2026 HBK - Hottinger, Bruel & Kjaer Designed to meet the evolving needs of engineers and researchers, Hottinger Brüel & Kjær's (HBK) latest innovation in sound and vibration measurement - Fusion-LN - has expanded its product line with a 12-channel module, which is available now for delivery. Fusion-LN introduces a streamlined approach to data acquisition, supporting applications across aerospace and defence, telecom, audio, industrial, and automotive sectors. Its modular design and intuitive interface enable users to adapt quickly to changing test requirements without compromising accuracy or reliability. A key function is that owners of HBK's LAN-XI data acquisition tool can preserve current capabilities and past investments, as Fusion-LN has backwards compatibility with LAN-XI. Operators are now also able to place Fusion-LN modules - combined with LAN-XI modules - in the same frame, which provides a seamless upgrade and allows them to expand their system, instead of replacing it. As industries face increasing demands for precision and efficiency, Fusion-LN provides engineers with a platform to simplify complex measurement tasks, while ensuring scalability for their future challenges.
