Requirements
  • Have 7–10 years of experience in legal publishing, legal data operations, or product and content management, with a track record of owning a legal content portfolio end to end.
  • Have deep knowledge of at least one of the Italian, German, or French legal systems and legal publishing markets, including authority, currency, and discoverability, and working knowledge of or the ability to quickly build fluency in the other two.
  • Have fluency in English and native-level fluency in Italian, German, or French.
  • Have proven experience using Italian, German, or French case law and legislation to support legal practice or legal research platforms.
  • Have a history of setting strategy and owning outcomes at senior or staff level, rather than only running projects.
  • Have strong product ownership and the ability to lead across teams without a direct reporting line across multiple markets.
  • Use data-driven prioritization and ROI modeling based on real numbers across three content sets.
  • Have technical fluency across ETL pipelines, ingestion systems, and metadata structures.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Be comfortable managing competing priorities across three markets, languages, and legal systems simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Italy, Germany, and France content collections as one product and set and run a unified roadmap targeting parity with leading publishers in coverage, currency, and quality.
  • Set shared KPIs for completeness, update speed, enrichment depth, and reliability across all three markets.
  • Drive ROI through improved win rates, customer trust, retention, and revenue tied to content in each market.
  • Maintain a full coverage map of case law and legislation across Italy, Germany, and France.
  • Rank coverage gaps by legal authority, customer demand, competitive risk, and cost to fix.
  • Lead build, buy, and license decisions with Licensing, Legal, and Corporate Development for each market, selecting the best cost-to-value outcome.
  • Maintain a ranked backlog with Content Ops and Engineering, prioritizing work that advances content across the three markets.
  • Work with Content Ops, Data Ops, and Engineering to run and improve shared ingestion and enrichment pipelines, including the move to Iceberg.
  • Build Clio-owned pipelines that scale across three languages and legal systems, reducing brittle third-party links and manual steps.
  • Set standards for monitoring, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across all three content sets, protecting Vincent and Clio Work research features from downtime.
  • Work with editorial and operations teams in Italy, Germany, and France to review and improve enrichment across case law and legislative data.
  • Set shared metadata and structure standards, including parallel citations, legislative amendments, case summaries, and hierarchy, adapted to each legal system.
  • Lead enrichment work combining editorial expertise and AI to improve how content is found, used, and read by downstream AI tools across all three markets.
  • Work with Finance and FP&A to assess the financial and product impact of content spend across Italy, Germany, and France.
  • Maintain dashboards tracking cost per document, ingestion speed, coverage parity, and enrichment reach by market.
  • Present quarterly to the Content Committee on roadmap progress, risk, and business impact across all three markets.
  • Compare Clio’s coverage, editorial quality, and features against leading publishers and regional providers in Italy, Germany, and France.
  • Develop partnerships with courts, publishers, and open-data groups in each country to reduce long-term dependency risk and open new access points.
  • Track new AI and NLP methods for legal text tagging, summary writing, and merging across languages and jurisdictions.
  • Act as Clio’s internal expert on Italian, German, and French legal materials.
  • Train Product, Sales, Marketing, and Support teams on the scope of Clio’s content in all three markets and how it compares with leading publishers.
  • Maintain an internal Legal Materials Reference Guide covering coverage, enrichment, and market position for Italy, Germany, and France.
  • Act as the expert voice on enterprise RFPs and major sales deals requiring deep legal-content knowledge in any of the three markets.
  • Work with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to document content strengths for go-to-market materials across Italy, Germany, and France.
  • Provide competitive facts from all three markets to inform pricing, packaging, and market-entry plans.

CTM integrates with Clio to link legal marketing spend to billable revenue

CTM, a global conversation analytics company, has launched an integration with legal software provider Clio. It links CTM's call tracking and lead attribution to law firms' client intake workflow. The integration maps inbound calls, texts, and form submissions to the matching Clio contact or matter. Firms can see which channels, campaigns, and keywords bring in the most valuable cases, and no longer need to log call details by hand. It is aimed at Clio's network of more than 150,000 legal professionals, especially solo practitioners and small firms. According to Clio, phone calls remain the top intake channel for new clients in the legal industry. "When a single click can cost more than $500, impressions and lead counts aren't enough," said Chris Lafferty, vice president of product and technology at CTM. CTM will show the integration at ClioCon in Boston on October 26-27.

CallRail's Voice Assist integrates with Clio to automate legal client intake 24/7

CallRail has expanded its partnership with Clio, integrating its Voice Assist AI tool with Clio Grow and Clio Manage platforms. The integration enables law firms to handle inbound calls and texts 24/7 using AI that can recognise existing clients, qualify new leads, and book consultations automatically. Voice Assist pulls client information from Clio to personalise interactions, greeting returning callers by name and skipping previously answered intake questions. For new callers, it runs standard intake procedures and creates contacts in Clio with full marketing attribution. The system schedules consultations directly into Clio Manage without requiring human intervention, including after-hours calls. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide. The integration is now available to law firms.

Clio acquires Jurisage to fuel AI expansion with Canada's largest legal database

Burnaby, BC-based Clio has acquired Toronto legaltech firm Jurisage to bolster its AI capabilities in Canada. The deal gives Clio access to one of Canada's most comprehensive AI-ready legal datasets, covering over 470,000 cases across more than 40 courts. Jurisage's 10-person team is joining Clio, which recently surpassed $500 million USD in annual recurring revenue and holds a $5-billion valuation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition addresses gaps in Clio's Canadian legal database following its $1-billion USD purchase of vLex in 2025, which offered limited Canadian coverage. A recent Clio report found that 95 per cent of Canadian lawyers are using AI in their work. The move comes as foreign competitors like Harvey and Legora expand into the Canadian market.
