  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in commercial roofing, roof consulting, building envelope consulting, design, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines.
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience managing technical consulting, design, engineering, or professional services teams.
  • Experience leading multi-location teams and complex project portfolios.
  • Strong expertise in commercial roofing systems, building envelope and façade systems, waterproofing systems, building assessments, construction administration, design specifications, capital planning, and asset management.
  • Experience serving large portfolio clients across multiple facilities and geographic locations.
  • Ability to manage financial performance, resource planning, and operational execution.
  • Communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • The role does not require an architectural license.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Roofing & Building Envelope Design practice across all regions.
  • Establish and execute the strategic vision, goals, processes, and performance standards for the group.
  • Create scalable delivery models and standard operating procedures to support growth.
  • Develop staffing plans and organizational structures to support current and future workload demands.
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Build a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and staffing discipline.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for roofing and building envelope design projects.
  • Oversee preparation and review of roof replacement designs, repair specifications, bid documents, construction details, and building envelope assessments.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across design deliverables.
  • Guide technical approaches for complex roofing, waterproofing, façade, and enclosure projects.
  • Promote industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving roofing systems, building enclosure technologies, codes, and industry standards.
  • Oversee design and consulting projects from assessment through closeout.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes across deliverables.
  • Participate in project reviews, risk management discussions, and constructability evaluations.
  • Monitor resource utilization and project performance metrics.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and strategic accounts.

  • Assist in developing annual growth, revenue, and margin objectives for the practice.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain consulting and design talent.

(NASDAQ: WLDN) announced today it has entered into a definitive Membership Interest Purchase Agreement with Mantis Innovation to acquire 100% of the outstanding equity of Mantis Intermediate Holdings, LLC ("Mantis"). The total purchase price of this acquisition is $285 million in cash, subject to customary holdbacks and adjustments. The closing of the acquisition is subject to completion of the Hart-Scott-Rodino ("HSR") anti-trust approval process. Willdan expects the acquisition of Mantis to close during the fourth quarter of 2026.
