Reach is a cybersecurity platform for enterprises that uses AI to manage and strengthen existing security tools. It scans for reachable security exposures, especially on end-user devices vulnerable to ransomware, and combines data from identity, endpoint protection, email, and network security systems into a single view. This enables security teams to see threat exposure, posture, and configuration issues together, and to act by deploying fixes through ticketing systems. Revenue comes from subscription access to the platform, which is also available on AWS Marketplace for continuous monitoring and adaptation to evolving risks. Reach differentiates itself by focusing on reachable exposures and delivering integrated visibility across multiple security tools with automated configuration updates. The company’s goal is to help enterprise security teams measure and improve their security posture and reduce risk by turning insights into concrete actions.

Reach Security has raised more than $50 million in Series B funding led by Top Tier Capital Partners. Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund and existing investors also took part. The San Francisco startup uses AI to read the live configuration of security products a company already owns. It shows whether an exploit path is blocked, and can fix drifting protections immediately. Reach also launched Reach Everywhere, which delivers its security control insights into the tools teams already use, through an API, an MCP server and partner integrations. The company has doubled its customer base over the past 12 months. Autodesk and Insurity are among its customers. The money will fund product development, integration partnerships, international expansion and growth in US enterprise and federal markets.
Reach Security raises more than $50M Series B to stop ai-powered attacks by autonomously closing the gaps they target. October 13, 2026 12:00 ET | Source: Reach Security Funding accelerates Reach Everywhere and the integration partnerships behind it, embedding the source of truth for security controls wherever teams work to outpace AI-powered attacks. San Francisco, CA, October 13, 2026 - Reach Security, the AI that operates security defenses at machine speed, today announced more than $50 million in Series B funding led by Top Tier Capital Partners. The company also launched Reach Everywhere, which brings Reach's security control insights to wherever enterprise defense happens. Reach's AI reads the live configuration of the security products an enterprise already owns to determine whether an exploit path is blocked or still reachable, and names the exact rule that decides it. If that protection drifts, Reach can remediate it immediately. AI has made finding vulnerabilities faster and cheaper than ever, yet VulnCheck's State of Exploitation 1H-2026 report found that fewer than 1.3% of vulnerabilities are exploited in the wild. The problem is speed: attackers are using AI to exploit weaknesses and misconfigurations faster than defenders can respond. According to CrowdStrike's 2026 Global Threat Report, AI-enabled adversary operations have increased 89%, and attacker breakout times have dropped to as little as 27 seconds. AI is even chaining exploits into attack paths never seen before. Reach uses AI on defense to move customers from human-paced to machine-speed security by: Giving operations teams back their time. Reach prioritizes work based on which exposures and misconfigurations are actually reachable and which are already mitigated by existing controls. Keeping pace with rising attack volume and speed without adding headcount. Reach uses AI to autonomously review and tune every control, keeping defenses strong and customers safe as attack volume grows. Immediately closing the entry points AI-enabled adversaries use. Whether the attack came from an adversary or from an AI agent a customer pointed at its own environment, Reach closes the path it used by configuring the security defenses the enterprise already owns. "What is old is new again in security. AI has given attackers better economics and a lower barrier to entry, but it has also given defenders a chance to use their home field advantage more than ever," said Garrett Hamilton, CEO and co-founder of Reach Security. "Defending at enterprise scale requires an accurate understanding of what your defenses are actually doing. You can't afford to get that wrong. That's why a source of truth for your security controls matters so much: which ones are reducing exposure, which ones are falling short, and which ones can do more. That clarity is valuable to customers and to our joint integration partners." The Series B was led by Top Tier Capital Partners, with participation from Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund and existing investors. The round comes as enterprises move to put AI on defense. Reach has doubled its customer base over the past 12 months. Autodesk, Insurity, MPS and Ensemble Health Partners are among the organizations relying on it to operate their defenses at machine speed. The funding will support product innovation, the extension of integration partnerships, international expansion and continued growth in the US enterprise and federal markets. "Trust is built on evidence, not assumptions. With AI accelerating attack and defense alike, we need continuous proof that our controls are doing their job," said Sebastian Goodwin, Chief Trust Officer at Autodesk. "Reach is our source of truth. Our team gets its time back by working only on the exposures our controls aren't already covering. If an attacker gets in, we can close the path they used with defenses we already own. And because Reach uses AI to continuously review and tune every control, we keep pace with rising attack volume without adding headcount." Reach Everywhere: The Source of Truth Wherever Security Work Happens Security decisions that prioritize and reduce risk have never come from a single group or a single console. They take place across exposure management programs, security operations centers, incident response workflows, compliance platforms and frontier AI-powered security environments. Reach Everywhere delivers Reach's security control insights into each of them through the Reach API, its MCP server and a growing ecosystem of technology partners. That means a backlog gets reordered where it already lives and a control gets tuned without anyone opening another tool. One of the most immediate applications is helping exposure management programs handle vulnerabilities that can't be patched as fast as AI now discovers them, by using existing security controls to block the paths attackers would take. Reach identifies, validates and continuously monitors compensating controls, providing evidence that they are deployed, current, enforcing policy and sitting in the right attack path. Where a fix is safe to make, Reach goes beyond flagging the gap. It pushes the change through ServiceNow, Jira or its own staged automation and validates it in a controlled environment before it takes effect, so entry points close without waiting on a separate remediation cycle. In an independent ROI analysis by TAG Infosphere, organizations using Reach saved more than 160 hours per week across control review, posture assessment and incident investigation, and saw a 156% return that compounds every time the control environment changes. The Security Controls Source of Truth for AI As organizations adopt AI across security operations, the quality of decisions those systems make depends on the quality of the data they consume. Through Reach's API and AI-powered MCP server, AI systems can access live, continuously validated control health data rather than relying on outdated inventories, exports or inferred information. Whether they use the Reach platform, its APIs or frontier AI models via MCP, organizations get deterministic answers grounded in real-world control health. "A compensating control that cannot be verified is not a mitigation. It's an assumption," said Colt Blackmore, co-founder and CTO of Reach Security. "At human scale, incorrect assumptions create inefficiency. At machine scale, they create risk. Whether decisions are made by analysts, automation platforms or AI agents, the underlying truth about security control health must remain consistent, accurate and continuously validated. Our vision is to provide a trusted source of truth for security controls that makes those systems reliable, effective and safe to operate." "AI is rapidly becoming one of the largest areas of technology investment, but its effectiveness depends entirely on the quality of the data and systems it can trust," said Garth Timoll, General Partner & CEO at Top Tier Capital Partners. "Reach is creating a trusted source of truth for security controls, giving organizations the confidence to deploy AI-driven security workflows at scale. We see this as a critical layer in the emerging AI security stack." About Reach Security Reach Security provides the trusted source of truth for security controls across the enterprise. Powered by deterministic AI, Reach continuously discovers, analyzes, validates and optimizes security controls, helping organizations identify attack paths, reduce risk and prove protections are working as intended. Through Reach Everywhere, its growing ecosystem of integrations, APIs and AI interfaces, Reach brings continuously validated security control data directly into platforms, workflows and AI systems where security decisions are made. By enabling organizations to operate at machine speed while maintaining confidence in their defenses, Reach helps security teams close exposure faster, strengthen resilience and safely scale AI-driven security operations. Reach Security has launched Network Security Assurance, an AI-driven platform designed to identify and fix network security misconfigurations before attackers can exploit them. The San Francisco-based company's research found that 42% of security professionals reported breaches or near misses linked to firewall misconfigurations in the past year. The platform provides continuous visibility across firewalls, SASE, and other network security points. It identifies rule issues, weak security profiles, and unintended access paths, then prioritises and remediates gaps automatically. Reach's customer data shows the average client generates 13 drift alerts daily, with 12 tied to real security exposures. The company's CEO, Garrett Hamilton, said periodic audits are insufficient as AI accelerates attack sophistication. The platform aims to help organisations detect and correct configuration drift before it becomes exploitable.
Reach Security launches Network Security Assurance to continuously find and fix misconfigurations before adversaries can exploit them. July 07, 2026 09:00 ET | Source: Reach Security Firewalls are the most common source of configuration-related breaches or near misses, with 42% of security professionals reporting a breach or a near miss tied to firewall misconfigurations. San Francisco, CA. July 7th, 2026 - Reach Security - the AI-Native Operating System for Security Controls - today launched Network Security Assurance, AI-driven defense for the network security controls that AI-powered adversaries target. The new offering gives security teams continuous visibility into how network security controls are configured, enforced, and drifting across their firewall, SASE, and adjacent network security enforcement points. Reach identifies rule issues, misconfigurations, weak security profiles, unintended access paths, and drift at the speed of AI, then prioritizes what matters most and remediates gaps before attackers can exploit them. Today network security spans firewalls, WAFs, SASE, EDR firewalls, SD-WAN, and other enforcement points. Every rule, profile, and policy change can affect how traffic is allowed, blocked, inspected, or routed. Over time, as rules are altered, network security controls quietly drift away from security baselines. Risk gets buried in the rulebase. Stale rules stay live, shadowed rules obscure true exposure, and overly permissive any/any rules sneak in, leaving hidden paths to breach for AI-powered attackers. The real-world impact of this problem was evident in recent research conducted by Reach: Configure | Drift | Breach | Repeat: Understanding the Cycle of Security Control Configuration Risk. When cybersecurity leaders were asked about security incidents or near misses experienced in the past 12 months due to misconfigurations in their existing security tools, 42% reported incidents originating in the firewall, making it the most frequently cited source of configuration-related exposure. Reach's own customer telemetry data from the past year reinforces these findings. Drift is happening daily - the average Reach customer generates 13 drift alerts per day on average. Of those, 12 are tied to a real, risk-prioritized security exposure, and the most common source is the firewall. These are actual gaps between how controls are configured and how they should be configured based on the organization's real threat profile. The data is sourced from real Reach customer environments and validates cybersecurity leaders' perception that firewall misconfigurations are leading to security incidents. "Our market research and customer telemetry align to tell a story of persistent risk residing in firewall misconfiguration," said Garrett Hamilton, CEO and Co-Founder of Reach Security. "As networks grow more complex and AI accelerates the speed and sophistication of attacks, organizations need continuous assurance that their network controls are configured, enforced, and operating as intended. Periodic audits and manual reviews are no longer enough," he added. Jonathan Brucato, Director of Security Operations at ECI, a partner of Reach Security, framed the problem: "The speed of change in modern network environments and AI-driven attacks have rendered static, point-in-time security reviews ineffective. Clients need to know that their controls are always correctly configured and enforced. Solutions like Reach provide the visibility and agility needed to detect drift and misconfigurations before they can be exploited." Key capabilities of Reach Network Security Assurance include: * Continuously Validate Network Security Intent Reach continuously validates whether network security controls are configured, prioritized, and enforced as intended across firewalls, SASE, and adjacent enforcement points. Teams can rapidly identify overly permissive access, ineffective enforcement, policy conflicts, and controls that no longer align with segmentation and least privilege objectives. * Detect Network Security Drift and Hidden Exposure Reach continuously analyzes network security controls to surface the drift and rulebase issues that gradually weaken defenses over time. Network security control drift is analyzed through a threat-informed lens, prioritizing the rules and misconfigurations adversaries are actually using, not just the ones that static rule hygiene might flag. Security teams gain visibility into unused, shadowed, redundant, disabled, unreachable, and overly permissive rules, along with misconfigurations that create unintended access paths and operational risk. * Constantly Harden and Remediate Network Security Controls Reach goes beyond identifying network security gaps by helping organizations continuously harden and realign controls at operational scale - faster than AI adversaries can probe your environment. Reach prioritizes the issues that matter most, maps findings directly to responsible enforcement points, and guides or automates remediation to reduce attack surface, restore intended policy enforcement, and correct configuration drift before it becomes exploitable. As AI-powered attacks accelerate, network security teams are facing a new reality: adversaries can now map network topologies, probe exposed services, and identify misconfigurations at machine speed. Attackers can test thousands of potential paths through a network in minutes, often spotting weaknesses long before defenders are aware they exist. The gap between a network control drifting out of compliance and that weakness being exploited has effectively collapsed. Defenders now need the same speed and scale, continuous visibility into the state of their firewalls and network controls, contextual understanding of how those controls interact, and the ability to rapidly identify and close exploitable openings. Reach Security's AI-native operations are designed for this new era, where AI-driven attacks demand AI-driven network defense that can detect and correct drift before it becomes an entry point. Network Security Assurance is built for this new era, giving teams the continuous, real-time visibility they need to understand how every network control is behaving, where drift is emerging, and which gaps attackers could exploit first. Reach reasons over the true state of an organization's network defenses and acts with precision. Reach Security enables organizations to: * Assess their defenses using Reach's MastermindAI real-time configuration intelligence. * Identify and prioritize AI-exploitable gaps before attackers find them. * Harden posture by detecting and correcting drift before it becomes an exploitable misconfiguration. * Gain continuous assurance that network security controls stay aligned to security intent.
