Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Three years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery is required.
  • A valid Level I Thermography Analysis Certification is required.
  • Familiarity with basic mathematical functions is required.
  • Completion of an industry certification program is required.
  • Good working knowledge of hand and power tools is required.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations is required.
  • Mature judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision are required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screen is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community-level clearance is required.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 75 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and repair classified material conversion machinery.
  • Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble, dismantle or partly dismantle machines, and perform repairs involving hand tools to scrape and fit parts.
  • Read, interpret, and adjust meters and gauges to ensure that plant equipment and processes are operating properly.
  • Replace broken or defective parts from stock, order replacement parts from machine shops, and repair machines when parts are procured.
  • Use hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
  • Plan and organize work, meet deadlines, and perform varied tasks during the workday.
  • Respond to emergency site maintenance as required.
  • Perform on-call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Coordinate with trade and warehouse personnel to identify correct materials, parts, assemblies, and requisition requirements.
  • Help perform periodic stock inventories and prepare material requisitions for replacement items.
  • Operate government- or Wolf Creek-owned motor vehicles and other equipment.
  • Perform lower-classified duties such as file maintenance and workspace cleanup.
  • Adhere to established Wolf Creek safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Possession of the required security clearance is preferred.
