Senior DevOps Engineer
About the job
- Software development and/or DevOps background, including the software development lifecycle, continuous integration/continuous delivery, and integrated development environments.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket, and/or continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines.
- Working knowledge of local and cloud deployment technologies, including Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Terraform.
- Customer-facing technical experience educating customers on best practices and acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Run maturity assessments of customer platforms and debrief findings with stakeholders.
- Lead roadmap workshops that turn assessment findings into a prioritized execution plan.
- Deliver trainings and workshops on developer best practices, integrated development environment adoption, quality gates and governance, security, and compliance.
- Advise on integrating SonarQube scans into continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Guide initiatives such as server-to-cloud migration, Enterprise-to-Data Center upgrades, monitoring, and instance consolidation.
- Run weekly cadence calls and own deliverables, including assessment findings, a roadmap document, and a midpoint status update.
- Familiarity with SonarQube or SonarLint.
- Application security literacy, including static application security testing, secrets detection, software composition analysis, and dependency and license risk.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience independently running structured consulting engagements.
