Data Engineer Senior
About the job
- Demonstrated experience working as a Specialist or Senior professional with large volumes of data.
- Advanced, verifiable experience with the AWS ecosystem, including AWS Redshift, Glue, EMR, MWAA, S3, and API Gateway; this is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge and technical proficiency in PySpark and SQL; this is mandatory.
- Solid experience designing and implementing systems architecture and ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience optimizing queries and monitoring and tuning data pipeline performance.
- Strong communication skills, autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, EMR, MWAA, S3, and API Gateway.
- Implement optimized extraction, transformation, and loading processes using PySpark and SQL.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design high-performance, reliable solutions.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of existing data pipelines.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by applying governance and quality-control practices.
- Document technical processes and workflows to support maintainability and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Participate in resolving problems and handling second-level incidents related to data pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum.
