About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional DevOps experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems administration.
- Practical experience with Docker and container-based deployment workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes, ideally including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tooling.
- Comfort working across multiple concurrent projects and technology stacks in a project-based structure.
- Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including networking, compute, storage, identity and access, monitoring, security, and cost management across project environments.
- Install, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters from scratch on virtual machines, including full manual cluster setup and ongoing lifecycle management for IBM Cloud Pak engagements.
- Install and configure third-party cloud services on top of OpenShift environments.
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes workloads, primarily via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Docker Compose.
- GitLab CI/CD experience is a strong plus.
- Experience installing or administering OpenShift clusters, especially manual or on-VM installations.
- Experience with any IBM Cloud Pak product.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-500; CKA or CKAD; Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration; or similar.
- Scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Exposure to Java/Spring Boot or frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue from a deployment and operations perspective.
- Familiarity with Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or the ELK stack.
