What believers are saying

  • Avive announced Cambridge Fire, ECU, and NCHSAA partnerships in August-September 2026.
  • Capitola PD equipped its entire patrol fleet with Avive AEDs on September 1, 2026.
  • Revelio estimated 122 employees and rising hiring in March 2026, signaling commercial expansion.

What critics are saying

  • Public-school and fire-department partnerships dominate demand; one procurement cycle stall hits revenue fast.
  • Medtronic, Philips, and Zoll outspend Avive; hardware commoditizes before Avive reaches scale.
  • A device failure or FDA action would crush trust and halt deployments across 2026.

What makes Avive unique

  • Avive’s REALConnect links AEDs to 911 and RapidSOS, unlike basic standalone units.
  • The 4 Minute Community program embeds devices with trained volunteers and dispatch workflows.
  • Avive pairs hardware sales with training events, maintenance software, and emergency-response integrations.

Avive and Cambridge Fire Department join together for Community CPR/AED Training - advancing Cambridge's vision to become a 4-minute community.

Avive and Cambridge Fire Department join together for Community CPR/AED Training - advancing Cambridge's vision to become a 4-minute community. Sep 15, 2026, 15:43 ET SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Avive Solutions, Inc. and the Cambridge, Massachusetts Fire Department are partnering to bring a CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator) training event to the Smith Campus Center in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts on Thursday September 17, 2026, aiming to train members of the general public on lifesaving skills. The free event is a cornerstone of a broader, ongoing partnership between Avive and Cambridge Fire to build a 4 Minute Community(TM)- a program where trained volunteers can be dispatched with their Avive Connect AED(R) to a scene within the critical first four minutes of a cardiac emergency, closing the gap for when professional responders arrive. The free training will take place at the Smith Campus Center in Harvard Square, Cambridge in coordination with CrimsonEMS and ProEMS- extending the reach of Cambridge's community-wide preparedness efforts to one of the city's largest populations: students, visitors, faculty, and staff. Event Details * What: Community CPR/AED Training Day * Where: Smith Campus Center, 1350 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA * When: Thursday September 17, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. * Who: general public, students, faculty, and staff * Training Equipment: 25 Avive Connect AEDs and CPR manikins, provided by Avive Solutions * Support: Cambridge Fire Department, CrimsonEMS, ProEMS Why 4 Minutes Matters The Avive 4 Minute Community Program is a groundbreaking initiative that transforms communities into proactive cardiac emergency response networks. By using historical sudden cardiac arrest data to strategically place Avive Connect AEDs with trained citizen volunteers - known as Cardiac Arrest Rapid Engagement (CARE) team members - the program creates a seamless bridge between bystander intervention and professional emergency response. The program has produced multiple lifesaving saves across the country and stands as a model for what's possible when a community decides that saving a life is everyone's responsibility. A Community-Wide Strategy Cambridge Fire Department's push to become a 4 Minute Community centers on training as many residents as possible, across workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, and now in partnership with Avive. With 50 Avive AEDs already deployed by Cambridge Fire and 326 more installed by MIT across its campus, nearly 380 connected devices are already in place citywide - putting these lifesaving tools within quick reach of students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the community's first responders alike. Expanding Avive's AED network further into the broader community would build on this foundation and reinforce the groundwork the city's universities have already laid. Training a population this large in a single day is designed to dramatically- and almost overnight - increase the number of prepared, potential responders across the city. Avive Solutions is supplying 25 Avive AEDs and CPR manikins that make hands-on, simultaneous instruction possible for large groups of participants. The equipment lets participants practice recognizing cardiac arrest, beginning compressions, and operating an AED in a simulated emergency, rather than learning the steps only in theory. Representatives from Cambridge Fire, CrimsonEMS and ProEMS will be on site throughout the event to support instruction and answer questions, reinforcing the coordination between campus responders and the city's fire and rescue services that a true 4 Minute Community depends on. Looking Ahead This training day is one piece of a larger, ongoing effort between Avive Solutions and Cambridge Fire Department to expand CPR and AED education throughout Cambridge - in schools, businesses, and public spaces - with the goal of making trained bystanders and ready AEDs a normal, expected part of everyday life in the city. Organizers say events like this one are meant to build momentum toward that citywide goal, not stand alone as a single day of training. About Avive Solutions Avive Solutions, Inc. is a Brisbane, CA-based company dedicated to developing state-of-the-art Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) designed to be accessible, intuitive, and effective in saving lives during Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergencies. NCHSAA partners with Avive Solutions to bring connected, life-saving technology to High School athletics across North Carolina.

NCHSAA partners with Avive Solutions to bring connected, life-saving technology to High School athletics across North Carolina. April 7, 2026 RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Avive Solutions to expand access to modern automated external defibrillator (AED) technology for high schools across North Carolina. Through this partnership, NCHSAA member schools will receive special pricing and training opportunities on the Avive Connect AED(R), an innovative, connected defibrillator designed to help athletic staff and school communities respond quickly and confidently during Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergencies. Que Tucker, Commissioner for the NCHSAA, said, "The NCHSAA is always interested in cutting-edge opportunities to benefit our student athletes. Avive will help in our goal to provide resources that help ensure the health and safety of those participating in our programs." Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death among student-athletes and on school campuses, despite a proven therapy: an AED. Because student-athletes face heightened risk during intense physical activity, immediate access to an AED during practices and games can dramatically increase survival. "We are honored to partner with the NCHSAA to help strengthen cardiac arrest preparedness across North Carolina high schools," said Sameer Jafri, CEO and co-founder of Avive Solutions. "We believe every student-athlete deserves to compete in a heart-safe environment and are proud to support greater access to lifesaving technology and training opportunities that will surely improve outcomes." Unlike traditional defibrillators, the Avive Connect AED(R) supports a more coordinated emergency response by automatically alerting 911 telecommunicators and sharing real-time data when in use. Designed to be intuitive and less intimidating for lay rescuers to use, the device provides clear audio and video guidance and includes a Training Mode so schools can practice on the same devices deployed on campus. Weighing just 2.1 pounds, it is the smallest and lightest AED on the market, making it easy to carry between fields, courts, gyms, and away competitions. "As a former NC high school athlete and the son of a 20+ year NC high school coach, this partnership with the NCHSAA is deeply meaningful to me," said Trey Keeney, Community Programs Specialist at Avive Solutions. "We know that student-athletes are three times more likely to suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, so it is vital that we empower our athletic departments with the tools they need to protect them on the sidelines. This partnership is about providing cost-effective, innovative life-saving technology to ensure that every gym and field in North Carolina is a heart-safe environment for our kids to compete." As part of the partnership, Avive will co-sponsor NCHSAA regional meetings and the annual Student Leadership Conference, providing hands-on CPR and AED training opportunities for athletic directors, school leaders, and student athletes. Together, Avive and the NCHSAA are setting a new standard for cardiac readiness statewide and reinforcing a shared belief that empowered schools build safer communities. "Having the right personnel, with the right training, in the right place, and at the right time is critical when it comes to emergency preparedness," said Janna Fonesca, Director of Health, Safety & Wellness and Student Programs for the NCHSAA. "Avive is going to help NCHSAA member schools elevate their preparedness by providing cost-effective equipment and training." Schools interested in learning more about special pricing through the NCHSAA partnership can visit www.avive.life or contact Trey Keeney, [email protected]. About NCHSAA The mission of the NCHSAA is to provide governance and leadership for interscholastic athletic programs that support and enrich the educational experience of students. www.nchsaa.org About Avive Solutions, Inc. Avive Solutions is on a mission to significantly increase survival rates from Sudden Cardiac Arrest by bringing connected, intelligent AEDs to where they're needed most. The Avive Connect AED(R) is lightweight, portable, and designed for real-world use by both trained professionals and lay rescuers. Learn more at www.avive.life.

North Augusta, South Carolina launches first 4 Minute Community program to combat cardiac arrest

North Augusta, South Carolina, has partnered with Avive Solutions to implement the 4 Minute Community Programme, becoming the first South Carolina city to adopt the initiative. The programme will strategically place 50 Avive Connect AEDs with CPR-trained volunteers to improve response to sudden cardiac arrest emergencies. The system enables 911 dispatchers to alert nearby citizen volunteers, known as CARE team members, who carry connected AEDs that integrate with emergency services via RapidSOS. When activated, the devices flash red screens and provide step-by-step instructions for CPR and defibrillation. With over 356,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occurring annually in the US and a 90% fatality rate, the programme aims to deliver lifesaving therapy before first responders arrive, targeting the critical gap in emergency response time.
