Requirements
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Active licensure for new graduates.
  • ADP authorization is an asset.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and client-focused communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources to support clients and families.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification obtained within the last 12 months.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home or school-based assessments to determine individuals’ needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to facilitate function and enhance quality of life.
  • Analyze physical, cultural, social, and institutional environmental factors that affect occupational performance.
  • Develop and adjust client-centered plans in partnership with clients and other professionals.
  • Use evidence-based problem-solving and professional judgment to address unique client needs.
  • Build rapport with clients and their families to establish trust and mutual understanding in service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate professional client records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
