Responsibilities
  • Provide the governance and oversight to ensure identified issues receive appropriate remediation and corrective action.
  • Coordinate end-to-end Issues Management processes and ensure that Payments is in compliance with policy/process requirements.
  • Effectively lead Issues calls with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders, Business Subject Matter Experts, Control, Compliance, Ops Risk, Legal, and other partners to document Self-Identified Issues and the corresponding risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate and perform Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Development and ensure subsequent mitigation of risk and gaps through what is delivered in the Corrective Actions.
  • Create detailed risk mitigation plans with appropriate milestone timelines to ensure timely issue closure in accordance with Issue Management policy.
  • Document progress throughout the Issue Management process including a detailed memo to support issue closure.
  • Coordinate and perform Sustainability Testing with the business to ensure Corrective Actions are effective and sustainable over time. Ensure based on the results that Issues are ready to be validated or propose changes to enhance controls prior to validation.
  • Provide regular issue updates in eGRC platform as dictated by policy. Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on issue portfolio. Participate in issue status calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Financial Industry experience including working with Payments, Banking or Fintech.
  • Understanding of Payment Services' operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
  • Must possess exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with written communication demonstrating effective business acumen (e.g. – CPMA memos, extensions).
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Archer/eGRC experience.

U.S. Bank has partnered with Built, an AI-native platform for real estate and construction finance, to streamline mortgage financing for new home construction. The integration connects borrowers, the bank and builders on a single platform, reducing delays and improving transparency throughout the construction process. Built's cloud-based system manages draws, inspections and communications in one centralised location. The platform can improve draw times by up to 70% and provides real-time access to budgets, inspection reports and project updates. US Bank has appointed Alan Flanagan as head of Global Investment Services, overseeing Global Fund Services and Global Corporate Trust. U.S. Bank raises $5.7B in tax credit syndications for affordable housing and clean energy

U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance raised $5.7 billion in third-party capital through tax credit syndications in 2025, the highest annual total in the company's history. The investments came from 58 institutional investors across 109 transactions, financing affordable housing, renewable energy and economic development projects. The 2025 syndications financed 6,812 affordable housing units across 19 states, renewable energy generation capacity of 4.4 GW, battery storage capacity of 0.8 GW, and 129 economic development projects. U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance also surpassed $7 billion in tax credit transfers since 2023, reflecting growing demand for this investment vehicle introduced under the Inflation Reduction Act.
