Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in a software product environment
  • Demonstrated Agile/Scrum experience: sprint ceremonies, backlog management, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex technical and business concepts clearly for different audiences
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, QA, and customer-facing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make transparent, defensible tradeoff decisions
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tooling (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
  • Comfort operating in technically complex, data-intensive product environments with ambiguous or evolving requirements
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) as accelerators in product work: drafting user stories, synthesizing research, prototyping, and collaborating with engineering. We expect practitioners, not observers
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet fundamentals and collaborative document tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Geography/GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
  • Product Backlog Ownership: Own and maintain a prioritized, well-groomed product backlog that reflects customer value, business strategy, and engineering capacity. Make active, defensible prioritization decisions every sprint — and be able to explain them.
  • User Story Ownership: Write clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria that engineering can implement and QA can test. Decompose epics into sprint-ready work without losing the business context behind each request.
  • Agile Team Leadership: Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Keep the team focused, unblocked, and aligned on what matters most. Serve as the product decision-maker within the Agile team.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and customers. Communicate tradeoffs clearly, facilitate productive disagreements, and ensure stakeholders understand what is being built and why.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use product analytics, customer usage data, support trends, and market feedback to inform prioritization. Define and track success metrics for features and releases. Challenge assumptions with evidence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX designers, data engineers, QA, and platform teams to ensure solutions are feasible, well-designed, and ready for delivery. Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies before they become blockers.
  • Product Delivery & Release Coordination: Coordinate releases with engineering and communicate release readiness to Customer Success and Sales. Ensure launches are documented, clearly communicated, and tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Adoption & Engagement: Track adoption of shipped features, surface usage data to the team, and close the feedback loop with customers. Delivery is not the finish line — adoption and value realization are.
  • Domain Learning: Develop working knowledge of North American power markets, ISO/RTO structure, energy pricing, and how Yes Energy’s customers use our data. You do not need to arrive as an expert — but you need to be willing to become one.
Desired Qualifications
  • CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe POPM certification (preferred, not required)
  • Strong proficiency working with Agile software development frameworks and project tracking tools, specifically Jira.
  • Ability to work with SQL, Snowflake, Sigma, or Tableau for self-service product analytics
  • Experience defining and tracking product KPIs, usage metrics, and feature adoption indicators
  • A structured thinker who is undaunted by messy problems and committed to uncovering root causes and scalable solutions.
  • AI-Augmented Execution: Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as active accelerators across product ownership work — drafting and refining user stories, synthesizing customer research, vibe coding prototypes, and collaborating with engineering in agentic development workflows. We expect our POs to be practitioners, not observers, when it comes to AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, Tableau, or Sigma to independently query, manipulate, and extract product insights — without relying on a data analyst to do it for you.
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Customer Success to gather market signals and support go-to-market execution
  • High attention to detail and ability to balance competing demands from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to North American power markets, ISO/RTO operations, or energy data products is a strong differentiator
  • Background in financial data, real-time market analytics, or complex data products in regulated industries is relevant

Yes Energy provides a subscription-based data and analytics platform for North American power markets, serving traders, power companies, and asset managers. The company collects, cleans, and standardizes complex market information like price forecasts and grid outages, delivering it through visual dashboards, APIs, and cloud databases. Yes Energy named 2026 Manufacturing & Industrials Snowflake Product Partner of the Year. SAN FRANCISCO, JUNE 2, 2026 - Today Yes Energy announced at Snowflake Summit 2026 that it has been named the 2026 Manufacturing & Industrials Snowflake Data Cloud Product Partner of the Year by Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company. This marks the third consecutive year that Yes Energy has earned this recognition. Yes Energy's AI-powered data and analytics platform is enabling power market participants to unlock greater insights, operate more efficiently and capitalize on market opportunities with greater speed and confidence. As a Snowflake Elite Partner and long-standing leader in power market data and analytics, Yes Energy was recognized for its achievements as part of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, helping customers accelerate AI initiatives and make faster, more confident decisions across energy trading, risk management, forecasting and operations. Yes Energy delivers comprehensive historical and real-time data covering all North American power markets, with billions of data points generated annually, directly into the Snowflake environment. This eliminates costly data movement and engineering overhead, creating a trusted, analytics-ready foundation for both current workflows and emerging AI applications. "We are honored to again be recognized by Snowflake," said Garrett Lodewyck, Director of Product at Yes Energy. "AI in power markets is not a future state. Our customers are already using our data to automate pipelines, accelerate analysis and build agentic workflows that would have taken months to develop independently. But none of that works without a data foundation you can trust. We collect, clean, enrich and continuously maintain the most complete power market dataset in the industry so our customers don't have to. Paired with Snowflake's AI capabilities, that foundation becomes a meaningful competitive advantage for every customer who builds on it." Amy Kodl, SVP, Worldwide Alliances and Channels at Snowflake, added, "Yes Energy has become a standout partner in the Snowflake ecosystem by delivering trusted, AI-ready power market data through Snowflake Marketplace. Together, we're helping customers reduce data engineering complexity, accelerate forecasting and risk models, and bring AI-powered energy applications to market faster on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud." This recognition reinforces Yes Energy's role as the data foundation for AI-driven innovation in power markets and reflects continued investment in delivering scalable, analytics-ready data through the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
