About the job
- A high school diploma or greater is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in construction, quality control, customer service, or a similar area is required.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
- Experience with Reno Walk, Scopesy, or similar systems is required.
- Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations with vendors on price, delivery, terms, and other matters.
- Provide supporting data and analytics to inform vendor-selection decisions.
- Conduct data analysis to support management of the vendor base and provide in-depth vendor performance analysis.
- Assess client needs regularly to understand client objectives, challenges, and needs.
- Proactively and reactively manage vendor relationships, leveraging internal resources to enhance those relationships.
- Minimize cost and maximize value in sourcing through strategic sourcing, negotiations, and related methods.
- Conduct pre- and post-project checks focused on quality control.
- Assist estimation and project teams with market issues and preview front-end and back-end projects when necessary.
- Interact cross-functionally with other departments and provide service to the organization.
- Handle moderately complex issues with urgency, identify issues, and escalate them to department leadership as appropriate.
- Perform work under general supervision and carefully review the details and accuracy of work performed.
- Travel up to 40% of the time.
- Perform ad hoc projects and other assigned duties.
