Our Buy the Dip screen asks the follow-up question that matters: which marked-down stocks still have the growth and cash generation to recover. Catching Falling Prices Is A Skill. Not Needing To Is A Strategy Buying stocks at 52-week lows works brilliantly on the survivors and painfully on the rest, and nobody rings a bell to tell you which is which. The honest answer for most investors is to stop needing that call. The Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio holds roughly 30 businesses selected for the traits that make recoveries likely in the first place: consistent cash generation, strong margins, resilient balance sheets. It has a track record of outpacing a benchmark that combines the S&P 500, the S&P MidCap 400, and the Russell 2000. Watch the low list for information; let a disciplined basket do the buying.

Curtiss-Wright installs training simulator at TerraPower's Natrium nuclear site in Wyoming

Curtiss-Wright has delivered and installed a Stage 1 Training Simulator at TerraPower's Natrium site in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The full-scope simulator replicates plant equipment and system conditions to support operator training and licensing. It runs on Curtiss-Wright's 3KEYMASTER simulation software. George Piccard, vice president of plant operations at TerraPower, said the simulator lays the foundation to scale a qualified nuclear workforce across future Natrium plants. Under earlier contracts, Curtiss-Wright will also develop the Distributed Control Systems and the Reactor Protection System for the plant. The Natrium design pairs a 345-megawatt sodium-cooled fast reactor with a molten salt energy storage system that can lift output to 500 megawatts. Kemmerer Unit 1 is expected to be the first utility-scale advanced nuclear plant.

Curtiss-wright installs Stage 1 simulator at terrapower's Natrium site in Kemmerer, wy. October 14, 2026 Cutting-Edge Simulation Technology Supports Growth in Advanced Nuclear Reactors DAVIDSON, N.C. - Curtiss-Wright today announced that it has delivered and completed installation of the Stage 1 Training Simulator (TSN) at TerraPower's Natrium site in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The TSN is a full-scope simulator that will replicate plant equipment and simulate system conditions and operations to support operator training and licensing. It is built on Curtiss-Wright's 3KEYMASTER(TM) simulation software - a real-time, high-fidelity simulation and analysis platform with an extensive installed base in nuclear, power, and process facilities. "Curtiss-Wright is pleased to announce the successful development and installation of the Natrium Training Simulator at the Kemmerer site," said Lynn M. Bamford, Chair and CEO of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. "This is a key milestone in our collaboration with TerraPower that exemplifies our ability to leverage Curtiss-Wright's advanced technologies, domain expertise, and engineering leadership to meet the needs of next-generation nuclear reactors. As a leading global supplier of nuclear reactor technologies, Curtiss-Wright is well positioned to support the anticipated acceleration in demand for advanced reactors and continued expansion of the U.S. reactor fleet." "Building the world's most advanced reactor demands an equally advanced approach to operator training," said George Piccard, Vice President Plant Operations at TerraPower. "By working with Curtiss-Wright to deliver the Natrium Training Simulator, we are laying the foundation to scale a qualified nuclear workforce across every future Natrium plant and ensuring our operators are fully prepared long before the plant comes online." Under previously awarded contracts, Curtiss-Wright will also be developing the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and the Reactor Protection System (RPS) for the Natrium plant. The Natrium plant design features a 345-megawatt sodium-cooled fast reactor with a patented molten salt-based energy storage system. The storage technology can boost the system's output to 500-megawatts of power when needed as it is designed to keep base output steady, ensuring constant reliability, and can quickly ramp up when demand peaks - it is the only advanced reactor design with this unique feature. Kemmerer Unit 1 is expected to be the first utility-scale advanced nuclear power plant. Curtiss-Wright maintains one of the most comprehensive and diverse portfolios of advanced nuclear power equipment, technology, and services globally to support both operating reactors and new build opportunities. Curtiss-Wright performed the work within its Nuclear Division in the Naval & Power segment. Curtiss-Wright shares slide 3.3% as CFO steps down after CEO retirement announcement

Curtiss-Wright Corporation shares fell 3.3% in premarket trading Wednesday after Chief Financial Officer K. Christopher Farkas announced his departure following six years in the role. The move marks the second senior leadership change in less than a month, coming after CEO Lynn M. Bamford revealed her retirement plans in late September. Farkas stepped down immediately but will remain as executive vice president through year-end to facilitate the transition. Gary Ogilby, senior vice president and corporate controller, assumed interim CFO duties on 6 October whilst the board searches for a permanent replacement. The company confirmed Farkas's departure is unrelated to business or financial performance. Third-quarter earnings are scheduled for release on 4 November.
