Position Location
This role is available in the Bay Area or NYC.
Time Zone Requirements
The team operates in both East and West Coast time zones.
Travel Requirements
The team has regular onsite collaboration sessions. These occur several consecutive days per month either at the Bay Area or NYC office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Prime will cover all travel related expenses.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Prime is looking for a highly motivated and scrappy Platform Partnerships Lead to join our team for the first role of its kind. This person will hit the ground running and be responsible for spearheading partnerships with merchant platform partners serving SMBs in the spirit of our mission to democratize access to credit for small businesses. This role will report directly to the CEO and lead efforts to plan, design, and implement strategic partnerships. This role will also include frequent communication with VC partners. Currently, Prime has several anchor customers and is quickly growing. This person will be responsible for identifying and closing new customers, while managing existing relationships that drive revenue targets for Prime.
What You’ll Do
Frontline Sales Execution: In direct partnership with Prime’s co-founders, you’re at the forefront of the Go-To-Market charge, not just initiating a sales strategy but spearheading our advance through our early-stage “fog of war” (h/t Frank Slootman) days. Your mission, embodying our Win the Day value, is to navigate battlefield ambiguity with strategic insight and relentless tenacity, identify and aggressively engage high-value targets (merchant and SaaS platforms) with speed and precision. This role transcends the conventional, acknowledging that time is the enemy of a startup and requires a commitment beyond the standard 9 to 5, embodying our bias towards high-velocity, quality decision-making and a readiness to adapt to our clients’ schedules with flexibility and unwavering dedication.
Customer Obsession: Armed with an “Always Be Closing” mentality, you will dominate the terrain of new customer acquisition, channeling Prime’s Get out of the Building ethos. Your goal: to relentlessly expand our foothold, turning every engagement into an opportunity to advance our lines and secure new territories in the customer landscape, driven by customer obsession and outside-in innovation.
Solution-Based Selling: ou’ll ensure platform partners are fully briefed on the strategic advantages and exponential growth opportunities our embedded lending products will bring. You work tirelessly to win every deal, demonstrating our Excellence as a Habit by setting and achieving ambitious goals.
Rapid Deployment and Integration: Navigate the entire sales cycle with precision and urgency , from initiating contact to achieving seamless integration. Your coordination with Prime’s tech team ensures our solutions are embedded without friction, embodying the Embrace The Unknown value by viewing every challenge as a launchpad for discovery and growth, ensuring no time is lost in the fog.
Tight-Knit Collaboration: Align closely with product, data science, and engineering, translating partner feedback and awareness of external factors - industry trends, competitor movements, and new territories (market opportunities) - into strategic maneuvers.
