About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent training is required.
- At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, unique work environment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer service, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, transport, place, and remove household items, and occasionally climb.
- Ability to walk and/or stand in varying weather environments.
- Local candidates only.
- Create a welcoming work environment, demonstrate a drive for results, and provide client service with minimal supervision.
- Ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained, replaced, and delivered to each job site.
- Lead the team in organizing and sorting household items for distribution, liquidation, donation, resettlement, and moving.
- Report incidents and accidents to the Owner immediately and accurately.
- Monitor and reinforce safety procedures, assist in maximizing sales and profit goals, and lead by example.
- Work with and support the Owner to run projects precisely and efficiently from start to finish.
- Report project progress to the Owner daily by email or project management software.
- Train, supervise, develop, and mentor team members while planning and executing online auctions, estate sales, packing, unpacking, and cleanouts, and reinforce company guidelines, policies, and procedures while performing these activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
