  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is required.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience is required, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • A proven track record of managing design and construction projects from inception to completion is required.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end development project processes is required.
  • Experience with budget and schedule management is required.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines is required.
  • The candidate should be detail-oriented and proactive.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end development process, including initiation, planning, design, permitting, and execution, for renovations and upgrades to existing hospitality projects in Banff and Jasper, including food and beverage outlets, hotels, and attractions.
  • Travel frequently to project sites in Banff.
  • Perform due diligence on proposed projects during initiation and collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain corporate approvals.
  • Create and manage requests for proposals for design teams and contractors.
  • Oversee project planning, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring collaboration among architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and present regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Track project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct site inspections, ensure quality standards, and promptly resolve issues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and proactively address challenges.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external project-related communications.
  • Oversee procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and national park regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Work with the project coordinator on template updates and reporting.
  • Hold online meetings with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Perform frequent site visits to Jasper, Banff, and Golden.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working on projects in National Parks is preferred.
