Multi Skill Infrastructure OS Support

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Linux/Solaris and Windows Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our server infrastructure. This role involves working with both Unix-based (Linux/Solaris) and Windows systems to ensure they run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. You’ll be part of a team that supports business-critical systems and helps improve our IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Solaris servers.
• Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across platforms.
• Apply patches, updates, and security configurations regularly.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripts, PowerShell, or other tools.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in system administration (Linux/Solaris and Windows).
• Strong knowledge of system internals, file systems, and networking.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications like RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or CompTIA Server+.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
