Teleo to demonstrate a supervised autonomy workforce shortage solution at CONEXPO 2026, in partnership with Hitachi Construction Machinery. Feb 23, 2026 At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, supervised autonomy startup Teleo will join Hitachi Construction Machinery's booth (F19012) to provide the heavy equipment world with a workforce shortage solution. In 2024, Hitachi Construction Machinery held the Hitachi Construction Machinery Challenge where 127 startups from all corners of the world submitted proposals to exhibit their innovative technology in front of a panel of judges. Teleo was the winning startup under the "Revolutionize Equipment: Information, Interface & Autonomy" theme. The supervised autonomy solution they presented allows operators to operate multiple machines simultaneously from an office-like environment. This innovation is brand-agnostic and presents a viable solution to work shortages, which continues to be a need in the industry. At CONEXPO 2026, Teleo's technology will be showcased at Hitachi Construction Machinery's booth, demonstrating supervised autonomy as a single operator remotely controls both a Hitachi ZW310 wheel loader and an ADT located 500 miles away. Teleo has raised $16.2 million in Series A extension funds, led by UP.Partners, to scale customer deployments of its autonomous heavy equipment and expand into new industries. The funds will also enhance AI capabilities, including integrating large language models and collecting real-world data. The first extension round of $9.2 million included new investor Trousdale Ventures, while the second round of $7 million included new investor Triatomic Capital. Since 2019, Teleo has raised $29.8 million.
TechCrunch has learned that Teleo recently raised $16.2 million in funding through two extensions to its 2022 Series A round.
