Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of work experience are required.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting is required.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills are required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-enabled tools to support analysis, research, content preparation, and day-to-day efficiency is required.
  • Understanding of international economics and markets, especially Spain and Latin America, is required.
  • English and Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively in English and Spanish with internal and external clients is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prepare accurate client presentations on time is required.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of corporate banking products and services in the United States and transactional banking products and services in Latin America is expected.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across senior and junior bankers, product partners, Risk teams, and other internal stakeholders is required.
  • Ability to work across different senior bankers, sectors, clients, and assignments based on business priorities and staffing needs is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support Relationship Managers in developing, marketing, and delivering the bank’s products and services to corporate clients across industries.
  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers and product partners across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia to support transaction execution, including proposal preparation and coordination with Risk, Portfolio Management, Legal, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Identify and understand client needs and respond to client requests.
  • Coordinate transaction closings, including managing documentation and follow-up.
  • Prepare for client meetings by creating presentation materials, background information, and call plans.
  • Research and evaluate potential new client relationships.
  • Prepare transaction summaries and Risk-Adjusted-Return analyses for Credit Committee presentations, including pro forma financial statements, cash flow projections, risks and mitigants, and SWOT analyses.
  • Analyze global relationships by gathering credit facility and revenue data from BBVA subsidiaries, especially those in Latin America.
  • Participate in Credit Committees jointly with Relationship Managers.
  • Conduct joint planning sessions with Product teams, including Debt Capital Markets, Bank Syndications, Corporate Lending, Foreign Exchange, Cash Management, and teams in Spain and Latin America.
  • Coordinate internal procedures with Credit, Operational, and Legal departments.
  • Resolve financial, administrative, and operational issues by working with Operations, Middle Office, and Business Development.
  • Research and summarize major equity analysts’ opinions on products, industries, countries, and economic forecasts.
  • Ensure the integrity of domestic and global profitability information used for internal team reporting.
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Management system for pipeline and profitability reporting.
  • Support Global Relationship Managers in day-to-day activities, including client and industry analysis, live transactions, and deal execution.
  • Interact daily with product partners to improve internal communication and complete deliverables.
  • Identify business opportunities aligned with the bank’s capabilities and product and service offerings.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and competing priorities within the pool structure.
  • Deepen knowledge of supported industries and clients, take increasing ownership of assigned workstreams and client-related responsibilities, and proactively identify and follow up on potential business opportunities.
  • Depending on experience, business needs, and client exposure, support selected client relationships on a more continuous basis.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Reuters and Bloomberg proficiency or experience is a plus.
  • Credit Training is a plus.
  • English and Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
