The Opportunity:
The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication's Business Operation Office is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven colleague to join our team as the Fiscal Analyst 2.
As the Fiscal Analyst 2, you will provide complex technical reporting and financial oversight for grants and contracts in alignment with Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and CFR 200. Key responsibilities of your role include analyzing, developing, and managing budgets, establishing and reviewing grant funds, and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies and overseeing the Contract review and compliance processes for the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB).
Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,428 - $5,956 | Range 49 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, which must include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and one year of relevant professional experience; OR equivalent education/experience
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience which demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience with grants, reporting, and higher education financial systems (e.g., Workday).
Familiarity with public radio and television funding and contract administration.
Experience and knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations pertaining to fiscal management.
Experience withWSUor a higher education system, which includes familiarity with an enterprise resource planning software system, Contract management, budget experience, and fiscal processes.
Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes andWSUBusiness Policies and Procedures.
