About the job
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Basic understanding of the English language.
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs by being professional and welcoming.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, hear, and speak to guests.
- Clean the assigned lobby and/or public area on a regular schedule, including spot sweeping, carpet dusting, and regularly cleaning glass doors, mirrors, and elevators.
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience for guests.
- Contribute positively to the team.
- Maintain public restrooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
- Clean mirrors, glass, interior windows, and vents; stock paper supplies in restrooms and storage closets; clean marble and tables; and dust surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, including rugs on service landings when needed or applicable.
- Report damage or malfunctions in hotel rooms or areas.
- Respond professionally, politely, and efficiently to guest requests.
- Keep equipment clean.
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
- Read, understand, and follow department policies.
- Previous housekeeping experience.
