Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems is required, with Epic preferred.
  • The role requires organizational skills, effective multitasking, verbal and written communication, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with dressing and undressing, and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
  • Review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete electronic medical record intake documentation.
  • Prepare surgical orders, schedule laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries.
  • Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals, and monitor and respond to physician queues.
  • Demonstrate the proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment, including braces and soft goods, when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • One or more years of medical office experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical records is preferred.
