What believers are saying

  • NCD expanded AccidentPrime in September 2025, broadening wallet share across members and agents.
  • NCD.com still markets multiple dental tiers and vision plans, signaling active cross-sell capacity.
  • Bret Voith joined as CSO in 2024 and COO in 2025, strengthening integration execution.

What critics are saying

  • NCD depends heavily on MetLife and Zurich carriers, squeezing pricing leverage by 2026.
  • NWFA-driven distribution concentrates demand; any partnership reset quickly damages sales coverage.
  • Aetna, Humana, and UnitedHealth dominate supplemental benefits; NCD risks becoming a niche reseller.

What makes NCD unique

  • NCD pairs MetLife dental networks with vision and supplemental health products nationwide.
  • The 2024 Tenure Health acquisition adds Medicare-focused product design and Bret Voith leadership.
  • NCD AccidentPrime launched in 2025 with Zurich underwriting and direct-member payments.
