Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Ability to understand and successfully employ networking, storage, operating system virtualization, and integration solutions and services, and utilize appropriate environments such as Test, Staging, and Production.
  • Ability to resolve technical problems and innovate more efficient use of IT resources.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with AWS and on-premises virtualization.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor IBM tickets related to APIC daily.
  • Provide Level 1 support for APIC issues.
  • Deploy IBM API Connect software using Kubernetes.
  • Manage and maintain IBM API Connect software.
  • Manage IBM Cloud Platform and Services.
  • Create Ubuntu Server environments using VMware ESXi.
  • Manage and maintain IBM servers in the Vitro Data Center.
  • Manage VMware ESXi servers.
  • Deploy IBM applications using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies while acting as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Support the successful deployment, maintenance, development, integration, and use of the infrastructure environment and its services.
  • Provide input into and support the execution of operations management, service management, environment management, security, and project management methodologies and processes; incident and change control processes; release management; testing; documentation development and maintenance; monitoring; data management; environment maintenance; solution enhancements; and solution development.
  • Identify, understand, and plan for organizational and human impacts of systems, and ensure business requirements are properly documented and integrated with existing processes, services, solutions, and skill sets.
  • Develop, document, and revise environment or solution operations procedures, tests, and quality standards and functions.
  • Create and update communications and incident management activities to streamline ticket resolution.
  • Assist or lead the troubleshooting and resolution of application, data synchronization, system integration, and performance incidents.
