Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining and reconciling client portfolio data.
Support maintenance of operational systems and data used across portfolio administration, trade management, and reporting platforms.
Assist with quarter-end fee processing and related operational activities.
Respond to routine inquiries from custodians and internal business partners under guidance from team members.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for operational and management purposes.
Support account transfer processing and documentation activities.
Participate in operational improvement initiatives and special projects.
Assist with process documentation and workflow reviews.
Contribute ideas for improving efficiency through technology, automation, and artificial-intelligence-enabled tools.
Desired Qualifications
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
Experience with data analysis, visualization, process mapping, or automation tools.
Previous internship, co-op, volunteer, academic project, or work experience in financial services, operations, technology, or data analysis; this experience is not required.
We are looking for a Retail Portfolio Operations Intern to join our Vancouver-based Investment Resource Group for an 8-month term (January-August 2027). This role offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in investment operations, financial services, process improvement, and technology. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience supporting retail portfolio operations while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
What You Will Do
