Job Description
Successful candidate will help with lot management, fab floor logistics, metrology tool operation and data collection & analysis to support high velocity learning cycles. Candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and editing simple lithography layout files and work with lithography engineers to enable new lithography tool recipes. Candidate must take direction from management staff (Physicists and Engineers) and be able to independently execute assigned daily / weekly tasks. Basic knowledge of typical cleanroom operations, fab MES systems and metrology tool operations is desirable. Some knowledge of lithography layout files (gds, oasis) and layout viewers or editors (like KLayout, Calibre) is a plus. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse CTO project team situated both locally in Albany, NY, as well as in Santa Clara, CA, in order to effectively help lot owners, integration scheme owners, program leads and management with last mile execution onsite / on the fab floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with and assist senior engineers and scientists to create, modify, and test various process steps, run experiments and create test vehicles.
- Execute, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments, within safety guidelines. Experience with jmp is a plus.
- Be responsible for and assist with lot management and logistics on the fab floor, working closely with the fab operations team and process / tool / lot owners.
- Maintain lot moves / cycle times for mature processes and flows, to enable fast learning cycles.
- Support process, metrology and logistics work requests during the shift
- Work with diverse internal + cross-BU teams (Integration, Module, etc.) locally as well as in SCLA to solve problems that arise from process anomalies, engineering evaluations, new product development or tool events.
- Troubleshoot moderately complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and be able to independently resolve some moderately difficult process engineering issues.
- Measure film properties, organize data/reports for review and interpret data.
- Edit simple lithography files (gds/oas) following integration scheme owner’s instructions and provide details to lithography engineers to create new lithography tool recipes.
- Generate internal documentation for products, presentations and technical reports.
- Maintain logbooks and documentation utilizing good writing skills.
- Ability to identify and communicate issues promptly with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness.
- Observe all safety standards. Actively strive to work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.

U.S. Salary Range:
$84,000.00 - $115,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
