Steno appoints court reporting veteran jon hefler as vice president of growth. Hefler brings more than 20 years of executive leadership in court reporting and litigation support to Steno's push deeper into the AmLaw 200 and the enterprise legal market. LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20, 2026 - Steno, the leader in tech-enabled court reporting and litigation support services, today announced the appointment of Jon Hefler as its new Vice President of Growth. Hefler has spent his career building national court reporting and litigation support businesses. At Steno, he will design and lead new growth programs as the company deepens its footprint within the AmLaw 200, Fortune 500 companies, and national insurance carriers. The appointment comes as Steno continues to scale following its $49 million Series C funding round led by Savano Capital Partners. Most recently, Hefler worked for Lexitas serving as Chief Strategy Officer and, before that, as President of the company's Premier court reporting division. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of NextGen Reporting and a Division President at U.S. Legal Support. He began his career supporting the legal industry as a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of TSG Reporting. "Jon's deep, hands-on expertise in court reporting and litigation support makes him a phenomenal addition to our team," said Prabhdeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Steno. "At Steno, our competitive advantage comes from being both a top tech company and a high-touch service provider. Jon understands the details of complex court reporting and litigation work, and he has turned that understanding into growth at every company he has led. As we grow into one of the largest litigation support providers in the country, Jon will help us bring our tech-forward service to more litigators, paralegals, and court reporters nationwide." "After more than 20 years in litigation support, I thought I'd seen it all. Steno proved me wrong - in how it serves clients, how it invests in court reporters, and the technology it puts in litigator's hands," shared Hefler. "I'm excited to join Prabhdeep and the leadership team to write Steno's next chapter alongside our clients and the court reporter community." Hefler's appointment follows the recent strategic additions of Anjelica Garcia (formerly of Red Bull) as Chief People Officer and Jeff Herscott (formerly of Ontra) as SVP, Head of Sales, as well as the transition of former Chief Operating Officer Prabhdeep Singh to Chief Executive Officer. Together, these moves give Steno a leadership bench built for national scale while continuing to deliver white-glove service to clients and court reporters. Singh's appointment follows a recent $49 million Series C funding round led by Savano Capital Partners and the company says that under his leadership, Steno aims to enter new markets and significantly increase its footprint within the AmLaw 200. "Over the past two years as COO, Prabhdeep has been instrumental to our growth and has taken on an increasing share of leadership across the business. He's been a phenomenal partner," said Hong. "After more than seven years of founder-led growth, I have every confidence that he is the right steward to carry Steno forward." Prior to joining Steno, Singh held leadership positions at Clover Health, WeWork, and Uber Eats. Most recently, he served as operating partner at Armory Square Ventures. His appointment follows the recent additions of Anjelica Garcia (formerly of Red Bull) as chief people officer and Jeff Herscott (formerly of Ontra) as SVP, head of sales. At Clio, Gurion has played a pivotal role in the most consequential growth phase in Clio's history, helping scale the company from US$100 million to US$500 million in annual recurring revenue, In the expanded role of president and COO, Legaltechnology is told that he will continue to oversee Clio's global operations, go-to-market strategy, customer experience, and post-acquisition integration. He will work closely with CEO and founder Jack Newton to help shape the company's strategy and represent Clio to its largest customers, partners, and the broader market as the company enters its next phase of growth. "Ronnie has been the operating force behind much of what Clio has built over the past four years," said Newton. "He brings the scale-stage experience this moment demands and has earned deep trust across our customers, our team, and our partners around the world. This promotion reflects our ambition and our confidence in the team we have built to go after it." Over the past twelve months, Clio has closed a US$500 million Series G at a US$5 billion valuation, completed its US$1 billion acquisition of vLex, and launched Clio for Enterprise. Prior to Clio, Gurion was GM and global head of Uber for Business. He previously held senior leadership roles at Orbitz, Expedia, and Airbnb. Colangelo joins Casepoint following more than 25 years leading government and enterprise software and technology software companies. Most recently, as founder and CEO of Neumo, Colangelo built a government software business that provided applications to justice, compliance, DMVs, and public administration agencies. "Organizations today face growing data volumes, increasing regulatory demands, and pressure to respond quickly and defensibly," said Colangelo. "What I hear from government agencies and regulated enterprises is frustration with fragmented systems, inefficient handoffs, and unnecessary risk. The market is moving toward unified solutions and Casepoint is well positioned for that shift, with security, defensibility, and workflow integration built into the foundation of our platform."
