- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy.
- At least one year of work experience as a nursing assistant or medical assistant is preferred but required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist the provider with examinations and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests.
- Assist patients with aftercare instructions.
- Triage and process messages from patients, front office staff, and providers.
- Clean and restock examination rooms.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Collect laboratory samples, including blood and urine.
- Update patient medical histories.
