About the job

Requirements
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in media, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an audio/visual technician or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on knowledge of audio mixers, video switchers, projectors, lighting control, and live streaming platforms.
  • Knowledge of video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut.
  • Experience with Teams, vMix, Dante, and QLab.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, test, and operate assigned audio equipment, including speakers, audio boards, processing, and tap microphones.
  • Ring out rooms, resolve signal conflicts, and identify issues that could degrade the audio experience during a show.
  • Collaborate with event producers, dance faculty, and production management to create audio profiles as required.
  • Maintain and repair audio equipment in the field, or promptly inform production management when equipment is defunct.
  • Ensure that the video department receives a clean signal for recording and streaming.
  • Provide on-site or remote technical support to internal teams as needed.
  • Install audio elements with attention to detail, including neat cable runs and properly dressed equipment.
  • Support other technical-team functions as directed by production management.
