Requirements
  • Retail or guest service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability to drive are required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Complete Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Work efficiently on the computer system.
  • Read, write, and perform math skills.
  • Adapt to change and work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and evenings.
  • Have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Be able and willing to provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service and work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and frequently standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing; occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, competent customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center's scheduling and workflow.
  • Write service orders for the location, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash-handling policies, ordering parts, and collecting payment for all jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
  • Use marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult with technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of industry needs, products, and services.
  • Understand customers' needs and communicate them to technicians, and relay technicians' information to customers.
  • Keep customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock it, and update pricing for showroom products.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
