The Frick Pittsburgh is a non-profit cultural institution that preserves the Frick family’s Gilded Age history across a multi-venue museum complex on the Clayton estate in Pittsburgh. Its site includes Clayton mansion, the Frick Art Museum, the Car and Carriage Museum, a Playhouse, greenhouse, gardens, and a visitor center, with free access to grounds and select galleries and paid tours for the mansion and special exhibitions. The collections feature the restored Clayton mansion with mostly original artifacts, Helen Clay Frick’s Frick Art Museum holdings of early Italian Renaissance and 18th-century French art, and the Car and Carriage Museum’s vintage vehicles. Its goal is to preserve, interpret, and share the Frick family legacy with tourists, historians, art lovers, and local residents, supported by admissions, memberships, donations, and grants.
