CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist
About the job
- Minimum education level of high school, GED, or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating Swiss CNC lathes.
- Strong knowledge of Star SR-32J and SB-20 controls.
- Experience with FMB Turbo bar feeders.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to produce high-quality, precision components with minimal supervision.
- Set up and operate six-axis Swiss CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
- Perform necessary machining functions, including tooling, offsets, inspections, and in-process adjustments.
- Read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Work with CNC programs and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and production requirements.
- Inspect finished and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
- Maintain tight tolerances and consistently meet quality standards.
- Manage production priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Associate degree in Precision Machining.
- Strong understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, offsets, and CNC programming.
