About the job

Requirements
  • Strong statistical and quantitative modeling skills, including reasoning about retention, expansion, and lifetime value, selecting appropriate methods, and explaining their assumptions and limits.
  • Ability to validate models through backtesting, calibration, uncertainty estimation, leakage prevention, and performance assessment under changing customer behavior.
  • Depth in experimentation and causal inference, including distinguishing correlation, attribution, and incremental impact and explaining the limits of available data.
  • Advanced SQL and strong Python engineering skills, including building, testing, and maintaining reproducible modeling code.
  • Commercial judgment to turn predictions into defensible acquisition, pricing, or sales-investment decisions, including recommending against action when evidence is weak.
  • Use coding agents in daily work while taking responsibility for methods, code, and conclusions.
  • Work directly with decision-makers, challenge assumptions, and follow through on whether recommendations worked.
  • Be based in Warsaw or willing to relocate and work onsite with the team.
Responsibilities
  • Build and improve customer lifetime value and lifetime gross profit models, predicting value from retention, expansion, usage, cost to serve, and customer characteristics while accounting for incomplete histories, young cohorts, sparse segments, and changing customer behavior.
  • Take the shadow lifetime gross profit model live as the bidding signal in Meta and Google, monitor platform responses, and continue improving it.
  • Validate predictions before they drive decisions by backtesting on historical cohorts without future-information leakage, checking calibration, quantifying uncertainty, monitoring performance, and defining when evidence is too weak to act on.
  • Use predicted lifetime value, cost to serve, and payback to recommend acquisition spend, customer segments, and pricing, making assumptions and trade-offs explicit.
  • Model attribution and incrementality by connecting acquisition spend to lifetime value, quantifying channel value, and measuring the incremental impact of marketing and sales activity using experiments and causal methods to guide budget allocation.
  • Use customer models to inform growth, profit, runway, and fundraising scenarios with clear sensitivities.
  • Build tested, reproducible Python code and customer-lifecycle dashboards that communicate predictions, assumptions, and uncertainty.
  • Work with growth, sales, finance, and the Data Engineer, owning modeling and interpretation while partnering on reliable datasets and shared metric definitions rather than warehouse infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in quantitative research, statistics, econometrics, or another field where predictions are rigorously tested against outcomes.
  • Experience with customer lifetime value, survival or retention modeling, and SaaS or usage-based economics.
  • Experience running incrementality tests or building marketing-mix models using real ad spend.
  • Experience building an application with large language models beyond a demo.

About the company

Viktor builds an AI coworker inside Slack and Microsoft Teams that handles operational and growth work across a company’s software stack. It connects to thousands of tools—CRM, ads, analytics, billing, project management and more—to keep organizational context and deliver finished outputs like PDFs, spreadsheets, dashboards, deployed apps, code, and automations, not just chat. It stands out by delivering concrete work products within familiar collaboration channels and focusing on end-to-end artifacts across the stack, not just responses. The goal is to become the standard AI coworker for organizations, embedding AI-assisted operations and growth work into everyday collaboration to streamline workflows and speed up decision-making.

AI startup Viktor raises $75M to embed virtual 'coworker' in Slack and Teams

Viktor, an AI startup co-founded by former Meta engineers Fryderyk Wiatrowski and Peter Albert, has raised $75 million in a Series A round led by Accel Partners. The funding included participation from Bek Ventures, Kaya VC and Tenacity Capital, plus angel investors including Slack co-founders Stewart Butterfield and Cal Henderson. The company has developed an AI agent that operates as a virtual coworker within Slack and Microsoft Teams, connecting to business systems like Google Drive, Meta Ads and Shopify. Viktor can execute tasks, build internal apps and suggest workflow improvements. Three months after launching publicly in February, the startup reports $15 million in annualised revenue and over 2,000 organisations using its product. The company offers a free tier alongside credit-based subscriptions, with some teams spending more on Viktor than on junior employees.
